The dress code is Summer Semi-Formal—think lightweight fabrics and lots of colors! Our ceremony will take place in a Catholic church, so we kindly ask that guests dress respectfully. Ladies, floor- or ankle-length dresses are great choices; please refrain from light yellows and shades of white. Gentlemen, suits or dress pants paired with a button-down shirt and jacket are perfect—linen and breathable fabrics are encouraged.
During this time of year, you can anticipate warm, humid days with occasional light rainfall. Temperatures typically range from a comfortable 68 degrees in the evening to a sunny 88 degrees during the day.
While transportation is not officially provided, we've made navigating between venues convenient for our guests. The church is approximately 15-20 minutes from Downtown Knoxville, where two of our hotel blocks and the reception are located. Downtown hotels are just a 10-15 minute walk from the reception venue. We recommend carpooling when possible, but both the church and reception venue offer ample parking. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are also readily available should you need additional transportation options.
Yes, we'll be offering a curated selection of beverages during our reception's limited open bar.
Julia has a tree nut allergy, so the food will be tree nut-free. There will be a mix of food options, but if there are serious restrictions, please communicate those with us ASAP.
The closest parking option to the reception venue (Jackson Terminal) is the Jackson Avenue Lot right next to it. If you are staying downtown and able to walk moderate distances, we recommend parking at your hotel, short-term rental, or a city-owned garage, which should all be no more than a 10- or 15-minute walk from the venue (it is also a great way to see the heart of Knoxville!). For more specific parking information, please take a look at the Parking Note under the Travel tab.
