For our 40th birthdays, Jimmy and I decided to take a trip to Cabo. It just felt like a good way to celebrate, get away, relax, and do something a little different for a big milestone.

One night we had dinner right on the beach. The ocean was right there, the sun was going down, it was one of those really good, easy moments.

At some point, Jimmy said we should go take a picture on the sand. I didn’t think anything of it, just went along with it. I was getting ready to pose, fixing myself a little, and when I turned around, he was standing there holding a ring.

I definitely wasn’t expecting it, which made it even better. It was simple, real, and completely us.
