Jimmy and I first crossed paths back in sixth grade. We weren’t close friends back then, but we knew of each other and shared the same middle school halls. Life eventually took us in different directions, and like many childhood acquaintances, we lost touch as the years went by. Years later, in September of 2014, fate brought us back together in the most unexpected way, through Facebook. Jimmy began playfully flirting with me in the comments of my posts, and before long he sent me a message. He told me he thought I was cute and asked for my number because he wanted the chance to get to know me better. Soon after, we went on our very first date at a restaurant in downtown Phoenix. What started as two people who simply knew of each other back in middle school turned into something much more meaningful, the beginning of a love story neither of us expected. ~Us
