Travel

General helpful info about Charlottesville ("Cville"): -It is nice to have a car here. -From one end to the other is around 25-30 minutes. -There are a lot of fun car excursions to do in this area: tons of vineyards/breweries/cideries (some with beautiful mountain views!), and fun hikes. -CHO (Charlottesville Airport) is on the far north side of town, whereas Camp Holiday Trails (CHT), where we will have our wedding, is in the southwest part of town.

Airport Options

- Charlottesville-Albemarle Regional Airport (CHO) is the closest option, 25 minutes away from CHT. I (Joyce) use this as my primary airport. They have direct flights from/to Chicago, NYC, Atlanta, Charlotte, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. - Richmond International Airport (RIC) is the closest major airport, about 1.5 hours away from CHT. They also have Southwest. - Both Washington D.C. airports (Dulles, IAD and Reagan, DCA) are a bit farther, 2-2.5 hours away.

Airbnb

-The "center" of town is the Downtown Mall (around 15-20 min drive from CHT). That area is walkable, but lodging tends to be pricier. -Staying in a nearby town is also an option. Afton, VA is 30 min away and they have some good homes for groups, some with mountain views. Waynesboro and Staunton are also nearby towns. Ruckersville is up north near the airport.
