An outdoor pedestrian mall with shops, bookstores, a children's museum, restaurants, and cafes (including Twisted Branch Tea Bazaar, where we had our first date!)
Vineyards, Cideries and Breweries
There are so many! Some to consider include: Vineyards: King Family Vineyards (no known relation to Danny :)); Veritas; Pippin Hill; Hazy Mountain (in Afton) Cidery: Albemarle Ciderworks Breweries: Blue Mountain; Three Notched (near downtown, or in Crozet); Basic City (in Waynesboro)
Carter Mountain Orchard and Country Store
There are views of Cville, cider donuts, wine/cider, and a country store.
Ivy Creek Foundation
This is where we go birdwatching! We also ended up here on our first date!

Shenandoah National Park
The closest entrance to Shenandoah National Park is 30 minutes from Charlottesville, but the best hikes are a 60-90 minute drive. Just driving along Skyline Drive is beautiful. Favorite hikes include: Rose River, Dark Hollow Falls, Blackrock Summit, Bearfence Rock Scramble, White Oak Canyon, and Mary's Rock (where we got engaged!).
