If going through Mexico City there are more connecting flights but you will need to budget time to go through customs. This airport is 1 hour 30 minutes to San Miguel De Allende and shuttles can be booked for door to door transportation. If you're traveling with a group and want to experience more of the SMDA culture, booking a large hacienda would be a great way to spend the weekend! We recommend booking a house that is in the city and not on the outskirts. The easiest way to ensure this is to find a place that is around El Jardin, the town square. All of the weekend's events will be in walking distance of this area. Travel Tips for Arriving and Departing

- For Arriving: Make sure to build in enough time if there is a layover. If flying through Mexico City you'll need to go through customs prior to your connecting flight which can take an hour. If going through a US airport for your layover, connecting flights may only depart once per day so be sure to find a layover that's at least 1.5 hours. Additionally, it'll take ~1.5 hours to get into the city from the airport. - For Departing: We'd recommend an afternoon flight or later. Be sure to book the shuttle 4 hours prior to departure (or no less than 3.5 hours).
