I have known Nicholas Hayes Bowman since November 1st, 1999, and my influence has only been positive. In the summer of 2005, Nick ran me over with his go-cart, slicing my leg open and leaving a scar that remains to this day. That event deepened our cousin connection. Watching him grow from being “Little Nicky” to “Little-Big Nicky” has been extraordinary—and quite shocking, considering he is now allowed to drive a police vehicle. Welcome to the family, Jos! I have had the honor to know this girl for 6 years now and I wouldn't trade her for the world. Now for the MVP, I met him through Miss Joslynn Jean. From then on I was their designated third wheel, calling them both mom & dad. They gave me dating advice and gave me a sense of safety at Trine. I knew with them both that I'd have a family for life.

I met Nick on a weekend trip to Crooked Lake when he was just a boy. Our relationship started with yard games and chatting around the fire. It wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies however. Our friendship survived a trip to Cedar Point when he called me my wife’s (girlfriend at the time) ex-boyfriends name. Yet, a solid foundation was already laid and we bounced right back. I’ve greatly enjoyed supporting Nick and watching him grow into a contributing member of society, even if he can’t grow a proper beard. I must be fond of him because I gladly jumped in the truck with a spare tank of gas to rescue him on the side of the highway when he & Jos ran out of gas. I really enjoyed driving the wrong way on the shoulder of I-94 to jump his car because the battery had died also. Life is full of decisions…..His best decision was Jos, and I’m so excited to see them continue to build their life together. Congrats Nick & Jos! However I can help and support you, just ask!

I met Jos when I first started club volleyball and was a super shy person. She brought me out of my shell and became one of my close friends, and she hasn’t been able to get rid of me since! She was my heaven sent, some may say… (iykyk). I met Nick when I visited Jos at Trine, and I could immediately see that they were going to live such a fruitful life together :) I am ecstatic that they are both marrying their person and I am beyond excited to help them tie the knot!!!!
