From concerts to dancing the night away (even in a walking boot), her energy and spirit light up every room she enters.

Josie and Kevin met years ago while working in Senator Dick Durbin’s office and quickly bonded over irreverent jokes, elaborate Halloween costumes, and an enthusiasm for exploring the Mid-Atlantic’s quirkiest historical sites—from Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg to Monticello. They’ve shared fall trips to Winchester, VA for apple picking and pumpkin patch hopping (TRADITION!), jammed out at concerts, and bonded over a love of American Bandstand–style dance-offs. With plenty of beer along the way, their friendship has become a lifelong bond full of joy and absurdity.

Jacob and Dhiren first met in the 7th grade as student peer mediators. They developed a close bond throughout grade school, and started off in the same college. They were roommates (at times, sharing the same room in an otherwise empty 3 bedroom apartment). They share similar interests like being a nerd and talking about literally nothing until the Sun comes up! Their lives sent them in all sorts of different locations, but their friendship has only grown stronger.

Chris and Dhiren have been best friends since high school. They have shared a lot of experiences together, good and not-so-good. But no matter what, Chris always has his friends' back! Chris and Dhiren also have a penchant for gaming, where they share recent stories and keep in touch. No matter how far they are from each other, they can always count on each other. To this day, Chris is many things -- funny, brilliant, honest -- but most importantly, he is a true friend.

John and Dhiren instantly bonded in high school, because John is one of the most welcoming and charming people you will ever meet. He is always checking in on Dhiren and is the glue to the their friend group. John and Dhiren will talk (argue) about every topic imaginable! John has literally saved Dhiren's life (and many others, as well)! No matter what is happening around them, John and Dhiren will always be the Cowboy and Indian. (PS: John is also the reason a certain Savalia family member got out of a reckless driving ticket while traveling from VA to NC)

Peter and Dhiren met in 2017, while working on the same project. Peter walked into the room with toe shoes, and Dhiren instantly knew Peter and he were going to get along, at least professionally. Over the years, they would meet up at Black Coffee, (recently closed) in Washington, DC, to geek out over Star Wars, politics, and sometimes actually do some work. Peter is now one of Dhiren's closest friends and confidants.

Samuel and Dhiren met only a couple of years ago, but they instantly bonded over technology, cars, and love for family! Samuel is Josie's younger brother, and she helped raise him. He has one of the biggest hearts and always is willing to help or just listen. It meant the world to Dhiren that Samuel accepted him into not only Josie's life, but his life, as well.
