FAQs

The Wedding Website of Josie Mattern and Tyrone Stiger
Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please complete your RSVP by Friday, May 1st. If we haven’t received a response by then, we’ll assume you’re not able to join us — but we’ll miss you!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

At the top of your screen, you’ll see a tab labeled RSVP. Please click on it and enter your name just as it appears on your address label. Thank you! Ex: Joe, Joey or Joseph

Question

Why was I invited to the reception but not the ceremony?

Answer

We love you—your presence means so much to us, and we wouldn’t have invited you otherwise. Our ceremony space does have a strict capacity, and while we’re able to invite more guests to the reception, we appreciate your understanding as we work within those limitations.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We kindly ask that our celebration be limited to guests 18 and older. We truly appreciate your understanding.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re so grateful to celebrate with the people we know and love. Because our space is limited, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those already invited. Thank you so much for understanding.

Question

A note on presents:

Answer

We would truly prefer your presence over any presents. However, if you wish to view our wedding registry, you can find it above or by following this link: https://www.amazon.com/wedding/registry/7SH2DC2TQDJB

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

The Legion bar will be available for the duration of the reception. It is a CASH ONLY bar, and there is an ATM available on the premises.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Julie Buenrostro, Mother of the Bride, is hosting the reception at the American Legion Hall in West Chicago. There will be a large grazing table for cocktail hour, followed by a buffet dinner.

Question

Is it outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors with access to a large pavilion, and the reception will be held indoors.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’re keeping things relaxed and fun! Think sundresses, jeans and a cute top, or something comfortable you can move in. For the guys, jeans or khakis with a nice shirt work great. This is a celebration, not a black-tie event — so come comfortable, stylish, and ready to dance the night away. Dancing shoes are highly encouraged!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Mostly sunny, with a high around 78°F—fingers crossed for perfect weather!

Question

At the Ceremony, where should I sit?

Answer

If you’re attending the ceremony, please know that the only seating available will be forest preserve picnic tables. If this isn't your seating of choice, please feel free to bring your own chair. There will be designated areas marked for seating.

Question

At the Reception, where should I sit?

Answer

Your name will be listed in alphabetical order along the hallway leading into the reception hall. Please take a moment to find your assigned table number.
