Blackberry Market is a cute cafe with coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, salads, soups, and cocktails. It's located in the historic and eclectic Argenta Arts district in North Little Rock, right across the river from the hotels.
Burge's is an Arkansas institution, inducted in the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame in 2018 and known for their smoked turkey/ham sandwiches and catfish. They're located in the Heights neighborhood and only open until 6pm, so primarily a lunch spot. Harris and Josie love the turkey salad.
Heights Taco offers "Ark-Mex," described as Tex-Mex infused with flavors of the Arkansas Delta. Notable items on the menu are Delta tamales and some of Arkansas' very best cheese dip, a cornerstone of Arkansas culture. (Don't dare call it "queso" 'round these parts.)
George's is a gorgeously decorated Italian spot in the Heights neighborhood, serving classic Italian fare with a local twist and creative signature and seasonal cocktails. Tucked away behind the dining area, you’ll find their speakeasy, Barnaby. Be sure to snag a reservation early - they fill up fast.
Sister restaurant to Samantha's, Cheers is a Heights neighborhood favorite serving American fare with a cozy interior and outdoor patio. Harris and Josie recommend the Chopped Salmon Salad - it is such a fan favorite, it's also a menu item at Samantha's.
Loblolly is an adorable creamery in SoMa downtown. Everything on the menu is made from scratch, including cones, macarons, and marshmallows in addition to their ice cream. They are frequently partnering with local farmers and food providers for flavors with a local spin.
Located in SoMa downtown, Rocktown Distillery makes vodka, gin, whiskey, and more with ingredients sourced from Arkansas farmers. At the distillery, there is a full cocktail bar with an expansive menu of seasonal and classic cocktails (and mocktails).
Located right around the hotels, the Old State House Museum is the original state capitol building of Arkansas and the oldest standing state capitol building west of the Mississippi River. Since 1833, when construction began, the building and its grounds have witnessed many of the most important events in Arkansas history. Today, the museum’s exhibits and events are open to the public.
The newly renovated AMFA is home to a permanent art collection as well as rotating special exhibits. If you're looking for a meal after a morning/afternoon touring, there is a contemporary American restaurant connected to the museum called the Park Grill.
The Clinton Library showcases artifacts from Clinton's two terms as president and includes full-scale replicas of the Clinton-era Oval Office and Cabinet Room. It is located downtown, a few blocks east of the hotels.
If interested in biking, running, or walking, the Arkansas River Trail is a popular trail that runs riverside through Little Rock and North Little Rock, hitting lots of popular spots along the way, like the Clinton Library and the Big Dam Bridge.
If interested in hiking, located just west of Pinnacle Mountain is Rattlesnake Ridge. The area provides habitat for three species of state conservation concern: the southeastern bat, the western diamondback rattlesnake, and Wright’s cliffbrake, a western desert fern.
