First, we ask that anyone that is feeling ill, has a fever, or might have been exposed to COVID-19 please stay home. To prevent any spread, all of our events for the wedding are outdoors. The ceremony and cocktail hour are on the garden patio, and the reception is in an open air tent with fans for air movement. Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask when they are not seated at their table. We will also provide masks and hand sanitizer for guests. As for the venue staff, they will be wearing masks and gloves. Lastly, our venue is following state guidelines for sanitization and guest limits, and social distancing will be encouraged throughout the night.
If all goes according to plan, the ceremony will be outside in the gardens and the weather will be warm but not sweltering. If needed, we may utilize an indoor space as a back up for the ceremony, but we're hoping it does not come to that! The cocktail hour will be in a partially sheltered area and guests will have the option of relaxing on the patio or exploring the gardens. The reception will be in a climate-controlled tent---but you may want to go outside to see the gardens at night.
We would love to say the more the merrier--really, we would! However, we hope you can understand the limits of our venue and our budget and bring only those addressed on the invitations. You will be able to RSVP for everyone in your party on the website!
There is a parking lot at the venue. However, we ask that guests carpool as much as possible so that we don't run out of parking. There will also be a complimentary shuttle to and from the Holiday Inn for guests staying there (limited seating).
Any registry links to other sites can be found on our Registry page.
Garden attire! We want this to be a special occasion with everyone looking their best, but we also want our guests to be comfortable outdoors in the late-summer weather. With summer suits for men, and summery sundresses for women, this is about as casual as you can get and still feel dressed up for an affair. Khaki pants and fun prints are welcome, with a definite emphasis on lighter, nice-but-not-too-nice attire.
You've come to the right place! RSVP right here on our website on the RSVP tab.
We love kids, we really do! However, due to space limitations at our venue, we ask that you take the night off and party with us! We are arranging to have a few babysitters at the hotel to watch any children that may come with their families. Please let Josie or Patrick know if you wish to use this service, the number of kids that need to be watched, their age, and any special dietary/allergy/safety concerns. We also ask that, if you are able, to please consider chipping in to pay for these services. Thank you!
Yes! All events will be held at the Gardens of Woodstock, with the exception of an afterparty at the hotel following the reception.
Our hotel block is at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake, IL. However, if you are looking for other options, there is a Best Western in Woodstock, IL and a Country Inn & Suites in Crystal Lake, as well as AirBnB options.
Probably not! Weren't they useful??
