Josie
Bride
Josie was born in Dallas, TX, and moved to Savannah when she was 2 years old. She grew up on Burnside Island playing in the marsh mud, going boating, and laying on the dock after dinner with a book. She graduated from Windsor Forest High School in 2003 and received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2010. She's been teaching in the local school district ever since. She also works as a Shalom School teacher at Mickve Israel, the same temple she grew up in. She cannot wait to marry Jon and become Mrs. Worthington!
Jonathan
Groom
Jonathan Worthington was born in Savannah and lived in St. Simon's Island, GA, for much of his youth. He graduated from Glynn Academy in 2000 and from AASU in 2010. Jon is the proud father of three wonderful children: Tristan, Oliver, and Mary Jane. He works in logistics and sales at Total Quality Logistics.
Vic
Matron of Honor
Vic is the Matron of Honor and Josie's sister. She was in the room while their Mom gave birth to Josie! Vic married Joshua, her own beloved, in 1995 and raised three kids with him: Raziel is almost 23 and looking for a good computer job, Isaac is in his third year at Amherst College, and Lilah is a senior in high school. Vic promises that: "As Matron of Honor you can count on me to be the voice of reason, maturity, frugality, and putting the chandelier back up into the ceiling after we ALL swing on it while downing too much champagne. See you in Savannah!"
Dustin
Best Man
Dustin and his family are some of Jon’s oldest and closest friends. After moving to Saint Simon’s Island, Jon was one of Dustin’s first friends and is the brother that Dustin never had. Jon and Dustin attended high school together and remained close throughout college. He lives in Marietta, GA, with his fiance, Misty, and two kids, Audrey and Finn. The kids refer to the groom as Uncle Jon. Dustin graduated from Georgia Southern University with his Bachelor's in Finance and Accounting and later graduated from UGA with his MBA. Dustin works for McKesson and runs their Project Management Office in Atlanta. He and Misty tie the knot just a month after Jon and Josie do!
Shana
Bridesmaid
Shana grew up in Atlanta, GA, and she and Josie have been the best of friends since around 2006, when they met in college at Armstrong. A deployment to Germany with her former husband took her away for a couple of years, but her son, Noah, was the best souvenir from that chapter of her life. She moved back to Atlanta in 2015 and works as the main biller and medical records coordinator for an acute pain specialist. She loves good wine and coffee, working out, travel and shopping. She and Josie make sure to visit each other a few times a year.
Misty
Bridesmaid
Misty and Josie met through Jon and Dustin, Jon's best friend since high school, and became fast friends - bonding over their *somewhat questionable* taste in men and adventures in stepmoming. Originally from Houston, Texas, Misty took the scenic route to Georgia, spending her formative years at Louisiana State University, heading back to Houston and then finally relocating to Atlanta for her previous job in 2014. In 2021, she took on multiple life changes all at once, becoming the Chief Audit Executive for GE Renewable Energy, and taking a bigger plunge by buying a house with and combining households with Dustin, his kids, and all of the cats. She's set to marry Dustin in December 2022. She's incredibly honored to be a part of Josie and Jon's big day and excited to celebrate them!
Tori
Bridesmaid
Tori grew up in Miami, Florida, and has worked and lived around the world (Cape Town, LA, and NYC). She graduated from U of Miami and now resides there where she enjoys getting outdoors, dancing with friends, and baking yummy treats. Tori is the VP of Enterprise Development for Wambi, an innovative healthcare employee appreciation tool. She is also Josie’s second cousin, and has spent most Thanksgivings with her. Tori (11 years younger) has learned so much from her older cuz, loves her dearly, and can’t wait to celebrate!
Arika
Bridesmaid
Arika was born and raised in Spokane, WA. She moved to Savannah in 2004 with her then husband due to a military transfer. Arika returned to college at Armstrong Atlantic State University where she met Josie in their SPED courses. Sometimes you meet a person and you just know that they are your kind of people. Josie and Arika have complimentary quirks and adore each other. Arika got divorced, graduated as a special education teacher in 2008, and worked in Savannah for a year before moving back to Spokane in 2009. She and Josie have visited each other and maintain a long distance friendship that will last the ages. Arika is now working as an instructor for student teachers at WGU (Western Governors University), which is online.
Daphne

Josie met Daphne and her husband Sheldon when Jon starting introducing Josie to his coolest friends. These four established a close friendship right away, and both couples enjoy spending time together. Daphne is a hard-working medical and surgical nurse who graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2020. She and Sheldon have three precious children, Laikynn, Cailin and Crew.
Logan
Bridesmaid
Josie met Logan through her husband, Alex, one of Jon’s good friends. She and Alex have a one-year-old bundle of joy, Libby. Logan will start a two-year diagnostic medical sonography program at Georgia Southern University at Armstrong in fall of 2022. She enjoys spending time with her family, attending church every Sunday, baking delicious sweets for friends and family, and taking walks in the park with Libby.
Alex
Groomsman
Alex grew up in Savannah and works in home remodeling. He and Logan tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed sweet baby Libby in September 2021. He enjoys boating, a good beer, and playing some poker with his buddies.
Sheldon
Groomsman
Sheldon grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and ended up in Savannah working with Jon at Memorial Hospital. The two became good friends and enjoy spending time together. Sheldon is married to Daphne and has two sweet little girls, Laikynn and Cailin, and just welcomed a baby boy, Crew, on September 4th.
Mary Jane

Mary Jane is Jon's third child. She loves animals, reading about Greek mythology, and playing with our various pets.
