From early morning practices to late-night chats, they've been through it all—pushing each other to work harder, laugh louder, and be the best versions of themselves. Whether they're getting down and dirty in the gym, diving into serious work projects, or having a blast no matter where they are, Asia is always by Beka's side with a big smile and an even bigger heart. Their bond is built on years of shared growth, and Asia's presence on this special day feels like a natural continuation of that journey.

Probably one of my more unlikely friendships—except for the fact that we just clicked from the very start. We first met through a mutual friend group back in our early high school years. After losing touch for a bit, I decided to surprise him on his birthday… and from that moment on, you could hardly find one of us without the other. Family events, everyday hangouts—you name it, we were there together. Danny is the brother I didn’t know I needed. We’ve been there for each other during some of life’s lowest moments in ways most people couldn’t imagine. He’s more than a friend—he’s family.

From big life moments, Hailey has always been there for Beka—whether it was moving to Oregon, finishing nursing school, or celebrating the joy of becoming a mom. She’s the sister Beka never had, and they continue to support and celebrate each other through every new chapter.

If Beka would’ve let me, I would’ve paired him with the last Danny—only because “we’re the three best friends that anyone could have” 🤣. But the truth is, Deion deserves his own spotlight. Deion is like the twin brother I never had—if twin brothers competed over how many times they could blink in a day. Since day one, we’ve brought out the competitive side in each other, and it’s only made our bond stronger. Whether it was trash talk on the basketball court or going head-to-head in football debates, neither of us ever backed down. And somehow, we’d always end up settling things on the sticks (video games)… or just forgetting about it and moving on to whatever came next. He’s been there through it all, and our friendship has always felt more like family.

Odalis isn’t just a friend—she’s someone who truly gets Beka, and their connection runs deep.

After finally meeting you could tell we were related, you’d think we grew up in the same household. We’ve been pushing each other competitively since we were the younger brothers getting knocked around by older siblings and cousins. That drive—and the shared experience of facing some tough times—has shaped us into something more than family. We’ve become brothers in every sense. He’s been there for me through life’s highs and lows. Whether I’ve needed a big brother, a mentor, or just someone to talk to—he’s stepped into that role without hesitation. I truly admire the man he’s become. Watching him grow, and learning from him along the way, has taught me some of the most important values: faith, family, fitness, and health. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

One of my oldest and realest friends. It all started on the basketball court—just two of the smallest kids out there, rocking those reversible YMCA jerseys back in grade school. We didn’t know it then, but by the time middle school came around, we weren’t just kids sharing the court—we were brothers. Every single weekend, every day after school—you could find us at each other’s house. Summers were spent riding our bikes all across Thornton just to grab some fast food or link up with the homies. It’s been a wild ride growing into manhood alongside you. And now, seeing you as a father—and a damn good one at that—makes me proud to call you my brother.

Since they were little girls playing dress-up and chasing adventures outside, Beka and Roza have always been side by side. Now, they’re living that in real life—Roza running miles through the PNW, with Beka not far behind, inspired every step by her sister’s strength and fire. Roza is bold, independent, and always pushing limits, and Beka draws so much strength from her. They keep it real, they keep it loud (sometimes too real!), but above all, they keep each other grounded. Beka couldn’t imagine stepping into this next chapter without her sister by her side.

I honestly can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t hanging out with you and Lex like a little brother. From lake days and summers at Six Flags to epic games of cops and robbers at your old house with the pool, we’ve shared countless memories (some of which we probably don’t need to get into). You were always my favorite competition on the court — best friends until the ball was checked. We were practically siblings, and yes, we definitely fought like it too, but it was always pure love and joy (until one of us got in trouble for something the other probably did). You’ve known me longer than I can even remember, so it only feels right to have you just as close for this special moment in my life.

As Beka’s youngest sibling, Robin has always been her little shadow—from getting her hair ready in the mornings to graduating beauty school. Watching Robin chase her dreams while being a strong mother of three is truly inspiring. Robin’s passion and open heart have taught Beka to be more loving and to let her guard down. Robin has always been the friendly one in the room, and Beka admires that fearless spirit she’s learning to carry every day.

My baby sister, my mini-me, and my built-in best friend (though who forced who into that role is still up for debate!). We’ve always been each other’s hype team, pushing and pulling the best out of one another. For so much of our childhood, it felt like it was us against the world—and the best part was, we knew we had the upper hand as long as we were together. Nobody fought harder—whether it was for each other or with each other—but if you ever caught us teaming up, you’d swear we were telepathic and had never disagreed a day in our lives. I don’t think I’ve gone through more with anyone else, and I can’t imagine going through this moment without you by my side.

Aniya, Josiah’s first niece and Beka’s as well, has always felt like a little sister to Beka. From the moment they met, Aniya’s quick wit and contagious laugh reminded Beka so much of her uncle. Creative, loving, and full of dreams, Aniya inspires Beka every day with her imagination and spirit. Watching her grow into the amazing young lady she is has been a true joy.

Rissy, my big sister, my very first best friend (even if I wasn’t hers at first!). There’s no shortage of words when I think about my beautiful, strong, and intelligent sister. She’s always been my rock—supporting me, lifting me up, and having my back for as long as I can remember. She constantly strives for more in every part of her life, and through that drive, she’s taught me more lessons than I could ever count. From our earliest days—sharing a bed at Grandma’s, to her spending her very first paycheck to take me shopping, to welcoming all of us siblings into her apartment during those Wichita summers—she’s shown me what love and generosity look like. I could go on forever about our memories, and I don’t plan to stop making new ones. But this moment—this memory—is one I can’t imagine without her by my side.
