Maid of Honor
Megan is from St. Cloud - I met her our senior year of HS through a friend. From then on, we just followed each other everywhere! We both went to college in Duluth, both lived in the cities & then both found ourselves buying homes in Maple Grove. We just can't get enough of each other! Megan is a blessing in so many ways. Her drive for success is extremely motivating. She is full of adventure; we've been on so many trips together: Cancun, Europe, Montana, Colorado - just to name a few. She's always ready to explore something new & totally helps me experience what life has to offer in ways that I wouldn't without her encouragement. Megan's heart is unmatched, she loves so hard & cares deeper than I knew was possible. I literally just want to squeeze her as I think about her heart & the love she gives. I'm so happy our paths crossed back in 2007 & am looking forward to being the loud old ladies at brunch together years down the road!
Best Man
Lee is my younger (by 9 months) cousin and I will never let him live that down. We have been close, like brothers, since day one. Always wrestling (even though he won most of the time), daring each other to do risky things and constantly getting into trouble. Kaiden bought a house in Crystal, MN and I have been living with him for two years now. He has shown me what true, hard work and dedication looks like. Big Lee (what his dad calls him) and I have competed in two body building competitions together. A fun fact about us is that we have several matching right leg tattoos.
Bridesmaid
Cass & I became besties right away when I moved to St. Michael in 2005. Our friendship was besties for the resties from the very start. We fought, laughed, cried & grew together like sisters. I remember being goofy 'kiddos' taking millions of pictures & talking about boys just hanging out at our parents houses. We went to so many high school games together to cheer on all of our friends & even got into a little trouble learning how to venture into the party world a bit. From then it was visiting each other in college & she even came to visit while I was living in Florida too. I had always wondered what it would be like to have a sister - but when I met Cass, that vision came to life. Cass has such a sweet & kind soul. I can already see us sitting on the back porch watching our kiddos play together in the backyard, becoming siblings at heart - just like us!
Best Man
Pete was one of my first childhood neighborhood friends. We played basketball, baseball and soccer throughout elementary school. Pete was notorious for out doing me in any purchase I made throughout our teenage years; his electric scooter was just a touch cooler, his moped was faster and cooler, his Camaro was faster and louder than mine and his Mustang was (you guessed it) faster and flashier than mine. We loved constantly competing with each other and making each other laugh at dumb jokes. When we graduated from high school we both joined the Marine Corp at the same time but sadly never served a day together in the same unit. Pete is currently living in Dallas, TX.
Bridesmaid
Leah & I met at the end of 2020 through a women's small group I lead through Eagle Brook Church. It's wild to think we've only known each other for a little over three years. We've served together in kid's ministry, we've co-led a group of high school ladies in student ministries since their sophomore year (they're seniors this year) & we share an addiction to CrossFit together - we've even competed against one another! Building a relationship on the foundation of Christ just hits different - our friendship grew so deep so quick! If you know Leah, she's one of the most compassionate people you'll meet. She has truly surrendered to God to let Him work through her & you'll see it when you talk to her. She listens & is so intentional. I'm so blessed to have this beautiful sister in Christ!
Groomsman
I met Nick a year into serving in the Marine Corp at Camp Lejuene, NC. Nick served as a logistics official for our whole battalion and I was in the transportation department in our battalion. Naturally we talked a lot for work but eventually started hanging out on the weekends. Nick and I got to spend some time on a “deployment” in Norway (God bless your tax dollars). Nick is currently living in Wilmington, NC.
Bridesmaid
Britt & I met at college orientation & have been besties since (this picture is from my freshman year dorm-room). We had so many classes together & did almost everything together in college - we went to concerts, explored the beauty of Duluth & studied too (yes, we did study)! Britt has literally been a ball of energy since I've known her & has somehow managed to keep that energy even after having 2 wonderful kiddos! She is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet - so inclusive & the life of the party. Talking to her will make you want to smile! While it's easy to highlight her positive energy & heart for humans, it would be remiss to not highlight that she's always been a sound voice of reason too. She's so grounded & understanding - her character inspires all of those around her.
Groomsman
Graham and I met at our first unit in NC, he had been almost two years of seniority over me but never let that affect us as we built a friendship over our love for cars, backyard games and lifting weights. I have to credit Graham for initially getting my twig shaped body into the gym AND introducing me to the dark-side (CrossFit). It didn’t stick after he got out of the Marine Corp but our friendship did. He is currently living in NC with his awesome wife, Emily, and their two pups. Franklinton, NC.
Bridesmaid
Rach & I met through Cass in 2018 - the beginning of our friendship was a lot of hanging out in larger groups at big social events. When our worlds changed a bit with the pandemic - our relationship grew a lot closer. It's funny how when you're forced to be separated, you can grow so much closer with intentionality. Rachel is one of those friends that you think of when you reflect on your blessings. She can be a million miles away & make you feel like you're sitting right next to her; being wrapped in the biggest hug. Can't go without saying that anyone who knows her, knows that her smile will light up a room & her laugh will definitely have you laughing along with her!
Groomsman
I met Brock soon after Brittany and I went on our first date. I was very pleased and overjoyed to find out that we have the same sense of humor. Brock not only has the best sense of humor in the room, he also knows how to make anyone feel important and seen. I’ve had many opportunities to see him put family and loved ones at the top of his agenda. Brock is currently living with his girlfriend (Abby), pooch (Beans) and one of his besties (Ricky).
Mother of the Bride
My mom is a consistent woman - she's consistent in going to the gym (top attender-can't miss a day or the world is ending ;)), she's consistent in her work ethic & making sure the people she supports are taken care of, she's consistent with her phrases or some of the things you know she'll say "SERIOUSLY" & she's consistent in following up & being there. It's easy to overlook the love of a parent - it's consistent & something you just get used to! I know I did this for too many years. It's been heart warming to see my relationship with my mom blossom into a friendship as I've grown. My eyes have been opened to see the love she's showered me with from day 1 & we've gotten to share so much more together. I appreciate her consistency more than she can ever know & am so happy she never stopped! I know she's the same way with the rest of the family & her friends too. This characteristic she holds has shaped me into who I am today & I hope to reflect the love she has shown me to all of those around me!
Father of the Bride
You can find my dad at the gym, bowling alley, antique shop, in a fishing boat, or posted up in his comfy chair. He is a man of few words, but you know there's deep thought behind the words he chooses to speak. He's got some goofy characteristics to him too; makes sense that I am the way I am I suppose ;) I'm so thankful that my dad taught me what true love looks like. He has always been around to support me & help guide me while also letting me be myself & choose my own path. He has shown me what love can look like in the way he loves my mom & the rest of the family! I saw a quote that has stuck with me since "you can choose who you marry but your kids can't choose their dad." Thankfully my mom chose who she did & he showed me that I shouldn't settle for anything less. I'm truly thankful for who you are & all you've done in my life - you'll always be the first man I loved & I'll always be your first kiddo & only daughter by blood!
Mother of the Groom
My mother is notorious for two things, her patience with others and her need to state before any big professional sporting event, “I just want a good game.” My mom is a super mom.. no literally though. She homeschooled 3 kids through elementary school AND worked as an on-call nurse at Methodist Hospital. On top of all this, she was a director of pre-k kiddos at church on Wednesday nights! She is a fantastic cook, has a heart full of love for anybody who needs it and is a one-of-a-kind Mother to me. I am so blessed to have this loving woman as my mother.
Father of the Groom
My dad is one of my favorite family members to describe to others. Picture a real tough, bald, goatee, super buff (retired bodybuilder), slightly below-average height, hotrod driving pastor. It’s awesome watching friends' minds explode at that image. My dad can fix anything on a vehicle, believe me, I know this because I’ve crashed/broken a couple of cars before.. Tiny has been an incredible rolemodel all throughout my life and I am extremely lucky to call him my dad.
Officiant
Cable Dee Delicious, believe it or not, is 2 years older than me but almost a whole head shorter than me ;) I was very happy that Caleb agreed to ordain our ceremony for many reasons. He is, after all, a legit pastor… well a youth pastor but still, a pastor ;) Last November, Caleb baptized me at his church and it was a life changing experience for me. He has seen my relationship with God go up and down like a rollercoaster. Yet, he never once gave up on me. Lastly, Caleb has always been the “wise-old wizard” with his on-point and excellent advice. After a few months of us dating, he told me “Brittany gets my stamp of approval.”
Flower Girl
Mooshie Pooshie is my favorite niece. She may be my only niece, but she has a soft spot in my heart. She was born my junior year of high school - she loved to crawl on my back, bright & early, on Saturday mornings to wake me up. She's the first & one of the only babies I've held. She was my biggest cheerleader when I was gone in the Marines; sending me pictures & always giving me the biggest hugs when I came home to visit. Can't go without saying that I've got video footage of her claiming me as her favorite uncle (sorry Caleb ;)). Mooshes Pooshes is not only abnormally tall for her age (which I like to take credit for since I'm the tallest in the family) but she's also extremely smart for her age; she's always telling us about the books she reads & what she's learning at school. It's been a joy to watch her play soccer, softball & basketball. I could tell that Melanie really liked Brittany when she asked me if Brittany could come with us on our uncle/niece date to Valleyfair. Melanie is currently 10 years old & lives with her mom (my sister - Sarah (Turtle)) & Fil aka Ebay aka Ipe (Felipe). We were thrilled to hear she was up for the task when I asked if she wanted to be our flower girl.
