Yes, we are moving forward with our wedding! While we are both fully vaccinated (and most friends and family are/will be) and Santa Fe is currently open without restrictions we feel comfortable hosting our celebration and still encouraging proper safety precautions. If you feel comfortable wearing a face mask, please do so. Although, being fully vaccinated will make the entire weekend much more enjoyable.
We will be getting married surrounded by friends and family in the enchanting city of Santa Fe, NM.
Although we love and adore your children, we kindly ask you to leave your little ones at home. We want you to enjoy yourselves, kick up your heels and celebrate with a weekend away.
We are encouraging chic cocktail attire: cocktail dresses, Little Black Dresses, dressy jumpsuits. Jacket, shirt & tie. Feel free to wear white, the bride won't be! Just don't try to out shine the grooms - or do, challenge accepted! Bonus points for turquoise jewelry, fringe and sequins.
September is one of the perfect months to visit Santa Fe! Averages around mid to high 70's during and cools off at night. Perfect for sipping margaritas on a patio! Perhaps bring a lightweight wrap or jacket in case you get a chill in the evening.
A car isn't needed while bopping around Santa Fe thanks to ridesharing, like uber, which is available. Santa Fe is also very walkable, depending on where you decide to stay. We are working on coordinating transportation from the Albuquerque airport to Santa Fe. Santa Fe is 60 miles from Albuquerque. Email Joshua directly with your flight info
We do not have a room block per se, but The Eldorado Hotel is offering a special rate of $249/night for our guests who wish to stay at the host hotel. It's gorgeous. There are plenty of hotels & boutique hotels in the downtown Santa Fe area all within walking distance of historic sights, museums, restaurants, galleries and shopping. Another suggestion would be looking at vacation rental homes. There is no shortage of amazing homes and casitas in the downtown area all within walking distance of everything. Check out Airbnb, VRBO, Two Casitas, Adobe Star Properties, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals and Aqui Santa Fe for some amazing places that are available for our wedding weekend. We recommend booking something sooner rather than later! In addition to our wedding, that weekend is also the Wine & Chile Festival which draws foodies from all over the country and accommodations will book fast.
Santa Fe is a very dry, arid climate and sits at over 7000ft. Pack a good sunscreen to reapply throughout the day and a say something hat for extra protection. If you are prone to various seasonal allergies, start taking an allergy pill prior to your arrival and continue to take while there. Because of the dry climate we advise bringing a travel humidifier - trust us, this is a must. Hydrating eye drops are a must have as well. Bring a great moisturizer for face (something with hyaluronic acid!) and body to alleviate itchy, dry skin. Joshua has some great recommendations if you need them!
We would love for everyone to attend but understand for whatever reasons that you may not be able to be there. Thanks to technology we can set up a virtual way for you to attend without leaving your comfort zone!
Yes, please notify us right away. Joshua can't eat portobello mushrooms and Adam can't have truffles (the kind that grow out of the dirt, not the chocolate ones).
