What the FAQ?

If you have questions not shown here, try calling the venue at 610-459-4711. You can also email Josh, at joshua.rasiel@gmail.com.
Question

“Josh” is such an unusual, exotic-sounding name. How is it pronounced?

Answer

Thank you! It’s pronounced “Josh”.

Question

Wow! And of course everyone knows this, but I assume “Xochitl” is pronounced “SOH-chee”, like the Russian city?

Answer

That’s right! But it’s not Russian! It’s the Aztec word for “Flower”! And yup: everyone knows that. Except Josh on their first date, lol!

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Grace Winery, in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. It’s about 25 minutes outside Philadelphia, and a 2-hour drive from NYC. Please see the Travel page for more details.

Question

When is the wedding?

Answer

Saturday, Sep. 14 2019, at 5pm - with optional welcome drinks Friday night, and apple picking Sunday afternoon. Please see Schedule page for more details.

Question

When shall I arrive and depart?

Answer

ARRIVAL: If you ARE in the rehearsal dinner, you'll arrive and check-in the afternoon of Friday the 13th. If you're NOT in the rehearsal dinner, we still love you. If you want to show up on Friday, we'll have welcome drinks for everyone after the rehearsal dinner. Then you can check out the area on Saturday, before joining us for the ceremony at 5pm. But if you'd prefer to skip all that and just show up on Saturday, that's totally fine! DEPARTURE: Technically, the wedding ends at 10pm Saturday night. We'll also have a little campfire/wind-down afterwards. So realistically, you'll be heading home Sunday morning or early afternoon.

Question

Will there be transportation between the hotel and venue?

Answer

Yes - on Saturday, we'll provide transport to the wedding that afternoon, and back to the hotel that night. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the venue, so if you want to show up or leave early, or join us for welcome drinks on Friday, it's a very quick cab ride/drive away. You could probably jog it in 15 minutes. Then, try again and see if you can beat your record!

Question

Do I need to stay in a hotel?

Answer

Highly recommended, yes. Check our travel page for discounted rates. Theoretically, you could drive the 2 hours back home after partying all night, but does that sound like fun?

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

CEREMONY & RECEPTION: You should wear cocktail attire. We want you looking your snazziest! Maybe also a shawl or coat for the ceremony, which is outdoors (unless it rains), and a pair of sensible shoes for exploring the delightful grounds. BONFIRE AFTERPARTY, EXPLORING THE AREA, APPLE PICKING ETC: You should bring active/comfy wear for these activities. Swim trunks might not hurt. If you're staying offsite but want to stay for the afterparty bonfire and don't want to singe your nice outfit, just bring a change of clothes! We'll have a place to stow it for the evening.

Question

Is this a child-friendly event?

Answer

We love children, but this is a 21+ event. Just leave your kids at the mall for the weekend. They'll be fine!

Question

Who do I contact with more questions?

Answer

If you have questions not shown here, try calling the venue at 610-459-4711. You can also email Josh, at joshua.rasiel@gmail.com, or Xochitl at xochitlgomez26@yahoo.com.

Question

How do I get to the area?

Answer

Please check the travel page for travel options. If you are coming from the NYC area and you’re interested in carpooling, please contact us.
