When exploring Lima, you can download CABIFY OR SATELITAL. They are 2 taxi companies that have apps and are safe and secured. When leaving the airport in Lima, there are secure taxi companies available. These taxis usually require cash for payment and can be a bit more expensive, but they are worth it for the peace of mind until you’re settled into your accommodation. Once settled, you can use the taxi apps to get around more affordably and safe. Important: Avoid hailing taxis off the street and refrain from using public transportation.
