Maid of Honor
You know how people start to look alike when they spend a lot of time together? Well when we were kids, Stella and I were mistaken for twins or sisters more times than I can count. I first met Stella in church, 25 years ago, when we were both placed in a sort of time-out behind the felt board in Teacher Pat’s classroom. I don’t remember what we were in for but I do know we promptly started to eat all of her lime slices and sugar! From that day on, there are few childhood memories I have without Stella. When I wasn’t getting her into trouble, we spent our time playing hours of dress up, lip-syncing to Celine Dion, days at the pool in our matching bathing suits, and annoying everyone with our constant laughing. As we grew older, the lip-syncing was replaced by talk of boys and we promised that we would be in eachothers wedding. I am so happy for Stella and can not wait to witness her union with Joshua.
Maid of Honor
"Stella and I have been friends for over seventeen years, first meeting each other when she started dating my cousin and we went on awkward, parent-supervised double dates (history shows that Stella has a thing for Joshuas). While our respective romantic relationships fizzled, our love for each other only solidified, carrying us through adventures at Collegedale Academy, Southern Adventist University, and in southern California. Whether we're playing violin in the same string ensemble, treating ourselves to a dessert at Rembrandt's, downsizing by asking ourselves if things spark joy, or having long conversations about life, love, and everything in between, we keep things real, have each other's backs, and enjoy every moment of 'Shaun-Shaun and Stellybean' time."

"Aloha! Stella and I met in orchestra at Southern Adventist University in 2010. Actually, that's a lie. I first met Stella when she said hi to Shauna (my then, orchestra partner) a year earlier and Shauna told me how cool she was. We got to know each other better a year later when we were in Poland on tour with our orchestra. Not only do we share a love for music as fellow violinists, but also for food, and scuba diving! I cannot tell you how many times we've bonded over music (being stuck together in endless orchestra rehearsals), food (bao-making marathons), and scuba diving (thanks for flying all the way to Malaysia to be my dive buddy!). We've had so many great memories, and I'm excited to celebrate her big day!

Best Man
I met Joshua in high school. Since joining choir, we have been close friends. Music has always bound us together and is still a major part of our story. We now also share the profession of medicine. I’m so proud of the extensive growth I have witnessed. I’m so glad he has found happiness and peace. I love you Joshua you are the best friend a guy could ask for. Thanks for always being there in my ups and downs. I wish you the best on your glorious day.

"Josh and I met back in college—we had several mutual friends but it wasn’t till our friend group took a cabin trip in the beautiful Tennessee hills in the fall that we bonded over the sweet sounds of Manchester Orchestra. We then just happened to move to Loma Linda at the same time (me for work, him for medical school) and have become very dear friends. From making memories at rock shows and rock climbing, to sharing a house together, jamming on our guitars, and having you be the best uncle my twin boys could ask for, I couldn’t be happier to see you find love and happiness. It’s been a joy over these years being through thick and thin — and I’m so proud of you and so excited to see you start the next chapter of your life. "
