Camping at our Wedding

If planning to stay and camp, it may be preferable to arrive a day early (August 30th) or extra early on the day of the ceremony. This would allow time to set up your tent in the daylight before the ceremony instead of later in the dark. Please come prepared with appropriate clothing, equipment, and food for rustic camping. Lakeside Michigan weather can be very unpredictable ranging from 80 degrees and sunny to extreme wind, rain, and lows of 40-60 degrees at night. Be advised: there are no showers or electricity, and the toilets are vault. Down the road, the single use campsites do have your standard camping bathrooms if you want to make the walk. Cell service is extremely limited throughout the recreation area and campsites.

Ceremony

12:00 pm - 12:30 pm

The ceremony will take place on the beach at approximately 12:00.

Attire is Beach Chic. Leave your ties, polos, t-shirts, jeans, cargo shorts/pants, flip flops, and heels at home or in your tent for later! The Bride and Groom welcome everyone to find their favorite light colored, breathable comforts to enjoy the refreshing outdoors. Dresses, jumpsuits, dress shorts, slacks, button-ups, sport coats, blazers, and flat dress sandals/shoes are all acceptable!
