Natalie and Joshua were first introduced at a gym party by Natalie’s best friend Tyne. Natalie’s first thoughts were, “hmmm tight shirt, good looking, too young”, and she ran away. Joshua thought, “wow, those eyes are beautiful… ohhh and now she ran away, okay.” A few days later Natalie showed up for brunch with friends, where Tyne had unknowingly invited Joshua. He remembers asking Tyne about “her friend Natalie” on a warmup run before the workout at the gym. It was there that Tyne convinced Joshua that she needed to throw him a birthday dinner, and everyone agreed to get together again. After getting Natalie’s number at the party, the two went on their first date. It consisted of hiking, rollerblading, and attempts at hammocking in the cold rain where Natalie shared her coat. Legend has it, this date lasted for twelve hours. They learned they shared a love of music, health, and a humorous yet oddly specific phobia. There was a lot of deep conversation too, and Natalie loved how calm and curious Joshua remained despite the discussion of some intense themes. Joshua was in awe of the aura that Natalie displayed and loved trying to keep up with her on skates, as atmospheric beats played in the background. Natalie realized that Joshua may be more mature than his boyish good looks and charismatic demeaner had originally let on. Joshua had never felt so purely free in his entire life and craved more interactions with the most fascinating human he had ever met. Little did they know that their first kiss, on a pair of rollerblades, would change their entire lives.
