Hot Springs

Visit Root House for amazing coffee and home decor goods. The owners, Ben and Christi, renovated Jessica’s family’s cabin in Pagosa a few years ago on an HGTV show called “Building Roots.”

Root House coffee + shop

This is a pretty drive to a lake nestled against the mountains. A nice spot for a picnic amongst the scenery. You must travel by dirt road to get there.

Williams Creek Reservoir

This is a great (moderately challenging) hike not far from the wedding venue. You must take a rough dirt road to access it.

Opal Lake Trailhead

Take the historic train from Durango to Silverton- this takes some time and likely a ticket booked ahead of time, but it’s a stunning view!
