FAQs

Question

How might the altitude affect you?

Answer

Pagosa Springs is at an altitude of 7110 feet. This is considered high altitude, and as such, it’s very important to stay hydrated by drinking A LOT of water and not overexerting yourself within the first day or two of arrival. It is especially important to remember to hydrate whilst drinking alcohol throughout the weekend!

Question

What is the transportation situation for the weekend?

Answer

Shuttles will be provided for each event of the weekend. Shuttles are required to be used for the ceremony on Saturday, as outside cars are not allowed on site (it's a fairly long drive on a curvy dirt road, which will best be enjoyed relaxing and taking in the scenery). The two blocked hotels will be the shuttle pick up locations. There are a small number of rental cars available at the Durango Airport. There are few to no Ubers available.

Question

Are children invited to the wedding events?

Answer

Children are invited to all of the events! However, since shuttles will be taken out and back to the venue, if you have very little ones, they may be happier staying at home. But if you’d like to bring them, let us know and we’d be happy to accommodate!

Question

What will the temperatures be like there that time of year?

Answer

The average highs in early October are mid to upper 60s, and the average lows are mid to upper 30s. We would recommend bringing layers, especially since the wedding ceremony is outdoors in the morning. As we get closer to the date, we will give an update with the specific forecast.
