Pagosa Springs is at an altitude of 7110 feet. This is considered high altitude, and as such, it’s very important to stay hydrated by drinking A LOT of water and not overexerting yourself within the first day or two of arrival. It is especially important to remember to hydrate whilst drinking alcohol throughout the weekend!
Shuttles will be provided for each event of the weekend. Shuttles are required to be used for the ceremony on Saturday, as outside cars are not allowed on site (it's a fairly long drive on a curvy dirt road, which will best be enjoyed relaxing and taking in the scenery). The two blocked hotels will be the shuttle pick up locations. There are a small number of rental cars available at the Durango Airport. There are few to no Ubers available.
Children are invited to all of the events! However, since shuttles will be taken out and back to the venue, if you have very little ones, they may be happier staying at home. But if you’d like to bring them, let us know and we’d be happy to accommodate!
Yes; please allow our photographer to capture the ceremony by refraining from using your cell phones so that you all may enjoy our celebration in the moment. We will share those photos when they become available.
The average highs in early October are mid to upper 60s, and the average lows are mid to upper 30s. We would recommend bringing layers, especially since the wedding ceremony is outdoors in the morning. As we get closer to the date, we will give an update with the specific forecast.
We are asking our guests to share a favorite recipe (or a few) as part of our guestbook. We will have recipe cards at the card table during the reception for you to transfer your recipes onto, as they are most special when handwritten. Well wishes and advice cards will be provided as well.
All events will have all alcohol provided free of charge; no cash needed. Order at your heart’s content! There will also be a coffee bar for the ceremony and reception, as our way of saying thanks for getting up early to celebrate with us!
