The Proposal Part 1

07.28.2018

With the ring in his pocket and proposal thoughts going through his head, Josh made his way to pick up Gracie. They were going to Temecula for the weekend to celebrate their 5 year anniversary. What Gracie didn't know about was the weeks’ worth of planning that went into this trip, as Josh was going to ask for her hand in marriage. Planning that consisted of calling different wineries and seeing what they had to offer, which place had the most romantic scenery, and which places had the most accommodating staff. Finally, Josh had settled on an intimate winery that was a replication of the cottage in the movie Snow White. With Gracie's love for all things Disney, he knew this would be a great place to make a memory that would last forever. The day came and it was time to propose. Josh was up early because he couldn't sleep, excited for the day that was to come. They made their way to the first winery where they were going to meet up with friends and family for some food and drinks. Josh knows how much Gracie loves being with her family and knew that it would mean a lot to her to be able to share such a big moment with those close to her. Finally, it was time to make their way to the second winery where Josh was going to propose and where, unknowingly, chaos would pursue. When they get to the winery, it was soon realized that Josh was not going to be able to propose there after all. For reasons too long to explain in this 2000-character limit description, they end up leaving this winery. Josh, trying to maintain his composure, can see his proposal going down the drain. There was no Plan B! Everyone starts making their way back to the hotel and, Josh, feeling uncertainty at this point, soon makes the realization that the proposal was going to happen that day. He didn't know if he was going to have to pull over and propose on the side of the road or if it was going to have to happen at the hotel. But, he did know that it was going to happen. Period!

The Proposal Part 2

07.28.2018

With determination and the help of those around him, Josh found a winery down the street called Wilson Creek Winery. He found Plan B. Josh says it was fate that his proposal went down the way it did and would propose the same way if he had to do it again. Minus the chaos, of course. So, the group gets to Wilson Creek and it is packed. Every parking spot seemed to be taken. Every bar was about a 10-minute wait. Josh says this was fate because, in a chaotic situation and a jammed pack place, they were able to find parking right away, get onto the premises and immediately find two tables right next to each other that accommodated the entire party. Not to mention, getting drinks to celebrate the moment in a short amount of time. Once situated, it was time to get back to the proposal. Josh finds a vineyard in the back of the winery with a barrel and a picture frame he knew would be perfect for the proposal. As soon as he finds a moment alone with the group, Josh quickly informs them of what the new plan is. "Okay, so here's the plan. There's a spot in the vineyard that is perfect. Once Gracie and Brenda get back, we're gonna make our way to the vineyard, go to the picture frame spot and I want one of you guys to suggest taking pictures there. We're all going to take pictures. Gracie and I are going to go last. At that point, I am going to get down on one knee, propose, and we’re going to live happily ever after. Got it? Cool. Hands in. Break! Let's go." -Josh Gracie finally reconnects with the group and they make their way to the back. They get to the barrel picture frame and, on cue, the suggestion is made to take pictures. It is Josh and Gracie's turn. They get in front of the barrel. With his arm around Gracie and all nerves being subsided at this point, Josh reaches into his pocket, pulls out the box, and gets down on one knee. "...Will you marry me?"
