Joshua and Gabrielle met in the late summer of 2011, basically kids at that point, at a frozen yogurt shop of all places. The only catch was, he was the manager, and she was the employee, and depending on who you ask, Gabby either didn't show up to her first day of work because of a lost email or because somebody had sent the schedule to the WRONG email address. (Hint: Josh still asks Gabby what her email is 10+ years later) After a little coaxing, Gabby was able to convince Josh to continue on with her employment there. Because this was their only job at the time, Josh and Gabby ended up working together most days, learning a lot about each other, and finding they had a lot of common ground and interests. Music and movies seemed to be their greatest connection. They spent a lot of time getting to understand each other's strengths and weaknesses, finding that they were very much the ying to the other's yang. What one lacked, the other had an abundance of. Before anything else, they became the best of friends. Lots of late night phone calls and texts eventually turned into a night out to the movies. What movie? Paranormal Activity 3, at the request of Gabby. She knew the chances of hand holding went up the scarier the movie was. After the movie was over, the pair ended up talking in Josh's old Buick for more than 3 hours. Nothing was official between them and it wouldn't be until several months later, in May of 2012, when Josh endearingly asked Gabby "Will you be my girl?" And from there, the rest is history. They moved in together a few years later, adopting their first of 2 cats, Banjo and Josh went through a few job changes before pursuing a position within his family's business in 2014. After a few more years of going back and forth between what would make the most sense for them, Josh and Gabby decided it was time to start looking into what was next. The decision was made to move to Hutchinson, Minnesota. This lovely and quaint town was where Josh had grown up from grade three and on through high school. It was the right decision for them. A couple years after moving to "Hutch", Josh and Gabby purchased their first home together, later welcoming their Golden Retriever, Cooper to the family and their second cat, Kirby. Life was good and fulfilling, but neither of them knew how much more fulfilling it was about to become. Fast forward to December 2021, Gabby and Josh found out they were expecting their first child together. In August 2022, Carter Thomas Anderson made Josh and Gabby first time parents, and brought more love and happiness into their lives than they ever thought possible. In May of 2022, while in Crosslake, Minnesota, on what they called their Babymoon and Ten year anniversary trip, Josh asked Gabby to be his wife, to which she tearfully (no surprise there) said YES!
