Josh and I met at my very first big girl job - Hospira/Pfizer in May 2016. I had been there since August 2015 and he had just recently switched over from the night shift to day. We spoke occasionally but didn't really start talking until about a month later when I sent him a Facebook friend request and he took that as indication to message me. A few weeks later, he got the courage to ask me out on a cheesy yet charming date to see Finding Dory where he proceeded to step on my fragile toes before letting me get into the car. After the movie, we got lost in downtown Raleigh trying to go to some Arcade bar since it was one of the only things open after 9 pm here in the good ole south. That night, I kicked his butt at some video game, 6 times to be exact. After that date, the rest is history!

It was a late evening and we had just finished moving all my stuff from my apartment into my new place for the day. It was at least, 95 degrees and I was pretty much drenched in sweat and hating myself for ever thinking living on the 3rd floor was a good idea. Josh and I had just gotten back to the apartment where we were greeted by my lovely fur baby Mason who was not so patiently waiting for food. Josh told me I should probably feed him (thanks captain obvious). Being the good fur mom I am, I went to get the food to put in his bowl. When I called Mason to come eat, he jumped on the counter and I noticed there was something dangling around his neck. Josh had tied the ring to a blue ribbon (my favorite color). He asked if I would marry him to which my first reaction was "are you forreal?" and then I said yes and reminded him to put the ring on my finger since he almost forgot because he was busy trying to hold Mason still.
