We urge guests to take that time to freshen up if needed, get settled into their hotel rooms, or Ventosa will be open for wine tastings in their tasting room!

In the midst of COVID, Josh and Becky met through a dating app because quite honestly that was the only real way to meet anyone when the city of Syracuse was shut down. Josh invited Becky over for dinner for their first date on February 2021, and the rest is history. If you ask Josh, the moment Becky walked into his house for their date, he knew then that she “was the one”. Becky needed a bit more convincing. Besides, she had to get Josh to break out of his shell a little bit first. It didn’t take long though! They became almost inseparable after that and spent most of their free time getting to know one another and exploring Syracuse together. Josh had been living in Syracuse for about 4 years when they first met, but he never had someone to show him around. Becky made a great tour guide, and they enjoyed trying out restaurants, bars, hiking spots and other hidden gems together. On March 22, 2021, Josh asked Becky to be his girlfriend…finally. Apparently Josh at first thought the titles of boyfriend and girlfriend were assumed at that point, but Becky insisted he actually ask! They eventually moved in together and had their “little family” as they’d learn to call it with Chase at the center of it. Chase was Josh’s dog from before they met but it didn’t take long for Chase to adore Becky (maybe even a little bit more than Josh…the jury is still out on that). In the end of September 2024, Josh and Becky took a trip with some friends to Italy. As many of you know, Josh and a few of his friends have gone to multiple Ryder Cup competitions and that year it was in Italy. Becky of course wasn’t going to miss a chance to go to Italy, so despite not being a huge golf fan, she went. Little did she know that Josh had something bigger planned for that trip. While they were in Florence, Josh was insistent on going to see the Michelangelo Piazza when all Becky wanted to do was shop around Florence. To get to this location, they all walked about 30 min in what felt like the hottest day in Florence. At the top, they took in the incredible views. Becky should have known something was off when Josh insisted on taking a photo together (he hates photos), and before she knew it he was down on one knee and asked Becky to marry him. It was so surreal! It was a great start to an unforgettable trip.
