Kailoni and Kylea became close friends during their freshman year of college. They lived in the same dorm, had dance classes and performances together, had many late homework nights, and had dining hall meals together. It is thanks to Kailoni introducing Kylea and Joshua that this wedding is occurring!

Rebekah and Kylea have been close friends since fourth grade! They grew up homeschooling together and stayed close throughout college through FaceTime Bible/book study calls and Panera get-togethers every school break! They have enjoyed living in the same city again for this past year.
Shannon Rodriguez

Shannon and Kylea became friends in a Hip Hop class at College. Shannon, Kailoni, and Kylea were in the same group to perform/create a dance together and they quickly became a friend trio and call themselves the “Mixed Chicks”. Kylea stayed with Shannon back at Hope often when visiting Joshua.

Micah and Kylea met the first time Kylea was visiting Joshua’s family. Micah is Joshua’s sister and after growing up with five brothers, Kylea is excited to have another sister!

Haneul is Kylea’s college roommate and they met through a mutual friend at the end of their freshman year. Haneul has seen Joshua and Kylea’s relationship from the beginning, including helping Kylea pick out her date outfits for their first couple of dates.

Annaliese and Kylea grew up in the same homeschool community and were a part of the same AWANA youth group in middle school and bible study in high school. Annaliese and Kylea stayed close throughout college and are enjoying going through similar life stages together.

Derrik and Joshua met in fourth grade and became immediate friends. Joshua still remembers the shoes Derrick was wearing when they first met in their school classroom.
Caleb Ervin

Caleb and Joshua have been friends since kindergarten! They bond over Marvel movies, Star Wars, and other movies and tv shows. They stayed close throughout college by meeting up during breaks to get bdubs and talk superheroes.
Jonathan Eggleston
Groomsman
Joshua and Jonathan met through YJ, and they were housemates during their junior year of college. Fun fact about Johnathan, he is undefeated in the Hope College annual Chess Tournament.
Jacob Monastra
Groomsman
Jacob and Joshua became close friends at college, specifically over their Junior and Senior years. They often got lunch together in Phelps dining hall, having deep conversations about faith and basketball, and making constant jokes.
Nathan Canada
Groomsman
Nathan is the first of Kylea's brothers that Joshua met, and they have shared a room multiple times when Joshua visited the Canada family. Nathan and Joshua have a lot in common and every now and then, Nathan has asked Joshua for sneaker advice.
