Simple boy meets girl story with a little bit of Covid thrown in. Joshua met Zhuoqun (Joyce) for the first time at a Risen Church event for international students. [She came for the free food]. She asked him where the water was, and like a gentlemen, directed her to the water. Although he thought she was absolutely stunning and beautiful, he didn't think they'd ever interact again. Few days later, they encountered each other on campus at the University of North Texas. They studied together, went to church together, and started spending more and more time together; realizing that there was something special developing. After dating and graduating from University, Covid-19 epidemic was at it's peak epidemic season and so Joyce had to return back to China. Joshua was determined not to lose such a beautiful hearted girl, so they both decided to pursue the relationship long distance. 4 years of Long-Distance relationship cultivated a deep love for one another which led to Joshua asking for Zhuoqun's hand in marriage in Macao in 2022, meeting her family during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2023, and finally having a wedding in Qixia, China in 2024. Now we're looking forward to sharing our wedding in the US OF A with everyone and can't wait to celebrate with all of those we love.
