If you are planning to stay on the property, please note that you will receive a separate invitation with details for an exclusive hotel block. This information will be included with your Wedding Invitation RSVP after you inform Josh and Sam if you are staying on property. If you plan to stay off property in an Airbnb or VRBO there are rental properties off-site that sleep small to large parties. The venue is located in Butler, TN. If you are a large party and would like to stay off property, the venue has provided a list of preferred AirBnb's to the couple and we are happy to share that list with you. Please contact Sam if you wish to have this list.

How Much Is It To Stay On Property?
Answer
For guests interested in staying at Sugar Hollow Retreat, rooms range from $200–$400 per night, per room, depending on the accommodation selected. Please note that due to venue regulations, all on-property guests are required to book a 3-night stay (April 9–12, 2027). Your stay includes: - Accommodations - All meals throughout the weekend - Access to the property's amenities and activities Because Sugar Hollow Retreat is designed as a shared retreat experience, some accommodations may require you to stay in a house with other wedding guests and share common living spaces such as kitchens, living rooms, and outdoor areas. Bedrooms will be assigned, but some common areas may be shared such as bathroom. We will do our best to place you with friends and family whenever possible, while also accommodating room availability and guest preferences as this is a first come, first serve purposes. Staying on the property is completely optional, and there are several lodging options nearby. However, we wanted to be transparent about the costs and requirements for those considering joining us on-site.

Yes, please see the travel page. There are BNB's off-site. Please search within the Butler, TN area if possible. Otherwise the nearest towns are 20-45 min away. If you are a large party and would like to stay off property, the venue has provided a list of preferred AirBnb's to the couple and we are happy to share that list with you. Please contact Sam if you wish to have this list.

If you are joining us for the full weekend, there are many things to do both on-site and off-site. If you are staying at Sugar Hollow Retreat, there are many options of hiking, kayaking on property. The ceremony will be taking place outdoors and the reception will take place indoors at Overmountain Hall which is located above the ceremony site.

What Will The Weather Be Like?
Answer
In Butler, TN, April brings pleasant spring weather characterized by mild days and chilly nights, with average daytime highs in the upper 60s and overnight lows in the low 40s. It is a moderately rainy period with about 4.36 inches of total precipitation, making it a lush, green, but occasionally wet month.

What Is The Dress Code?
Answer
Our wedding ceremony and reception will be a semi-formal celebration. We encourage guests to dress in elevated cocktail or semi-formal attire that feels comfortable, polished, and appropriate for a mountain wedding setting. For men, this may include dress pants with a button-down or jacket. For women, cocktail dresses, midi/maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates are all wonderful options. Please note that jeans, casual wear, and overly informal attire are not requested for this event. As temperatures in the mountains can become cooler in the evening, we also recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap.

Will You Allow Children At The Ceremony or Reception?
Answer
While we absolutely adore your children, our wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration for guests 16 and older. We hope this gives parents the opportunity to relax, unwind, and enjoy a weekend away with us in the mountains. Thank you for understanding, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Yes, currently there is one house on the property that is ADA compliant. During the ceremony and reception there will be accommodations to help those who need assistance to and from each site.

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
If you are interested in staying on the property, please let us know by October 5, 2026 so we can begin coordinating accommodations and room assignments. We kindly ask that all wedding RSVPs be submitted by January 15, 2027. When responding, please also include any dietary restrictions or food allergies so we can plan accordingly. If we do not receive your RSVP by January 15, 2027, we will assume you are unable to attend.

Are There Any Other Events That I Should Know About Around The Wedding?

Nope! If you are staying on property you are welcome to join us for the Wedding Rehearsal Dinner on April 10th, 2027 if you are part of the wedding party you will stay after dinner for rehearsal. Otherwise please enjoy your weekend as you please!
