Our Story

It has been a decade ago since our paths crossed. We met each other in BGC where we had our internship at the same company. Our first photo taken at Starbucks while we wait for coding to pass.

After our internship, we continually talked online and offline. We were both back to U-belt playing hide and seek - hiding our feelings while seeking God's will (hoping we are His will for each other)

Months passed and we celebrated Kim's birthday with her college friends. This was at SM North EDSA's parking lot, we didn't know if we can celebrate birthdays together again.

Hello, Love, Goodbye. This was one of the final events we went together before Josheff left PH and moved to US. We really didn't know what's next for us because we never confessed our feelings.

Hello, Love, Again. After 2.5 years, Josheff went home to PH to say, "I like you," at the same spot we were hanging out back 2014. Imagine all the prayers and anticipations! One for the books.

A couple of days after Kim said "yes" to courtship. It was our very first ramen date at Kim’s favorite franchise. Eating ramen never tasted the same again! Still our favorite craving to this day.

Six months after, Kim said yes to exclusively dating the night before her sister's wedding. Josheff spent the day knowing the Caguimbal family. It was surreal & a day only God can orchestrate.

Next day, we were at our first event as a couple, celebrating ate Carmela and Kuya Tj while also rejoicing inside for our answered prayer. It was a sunny day full of miracles.

Days after, Kim had to go back to work. Big boyfriend pants was worn this day, driving her from Batangas to BGC. This was taken at the same Starbucks from the first photo, just with more love. Haha!

Because we knew we will be long distance in a few days, every moment had to be a special one. We took road trips from MNL to Batangas and vice versa. EDSA traffic wasn't so bad with the one you love.

Had our 1st prayer meeting & Psalm 16:6 was spoken to us - “The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places, surely I have a delightful inheritance.” See our apt photo below for our miracle!

Goofy faces before Josheff left for New York (and before Kim cried). Haha! Every meal counted, with hopes that the long distance wouldn't be so long.

After two years of LDR, here we were at another wedding. This was at Ate Jen and Kuya JC's wedding. Josheff also met our new nephews! Celebrating after being away from each other felt so good!

Made memories while we were together. Isn't it obvious how we love coffee shops. Taken by one of our bridesmaids, who rooted for us since day one!

Days after Kuya JC and ate Jen's wedding, we went to Japan with the whole Caguimbal family. Our first winter and out of the country trip together. We both got sick after, maybe that was Covid?

Went to the Happiest Place on Earth! Years ago, we were planning to watch the fireworks together as a friend lol but God is wise, he didn't let that dreamy event to happen until this day at Disney!

The days just passed by and it is time for Josheff to fly back to NY and Kim to Qatar. We made plans for 2020 but God allowed a pandemic we didn't know is about to be the hardest season of our LDR.

What can you say! God makes miracles! After almost 2 yrs, fully vaccinated, Josheff flew to Qatar to see Kim. ANOTHER ANSWERED PRAYER. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PANDEMIC. LOVE WON THIS DAY!

Went to a yacht ride the next day! Watching the sunset was only a dream whenever we video called but on this day, we started and ended it together. *Cue Million Little Miracles by Elevation Worship*

Josheff popped the question and Kim said YES! The biggest yes in our lives, happened in Villa 28, beside a tree, near the water, in front of family! The vision Kim had and prayed for years ago.

Attempting an engagement shoot but it was too sunny! Lol. We just had fun this day, we can't believe we are only one step closer to being married. God is really with us even in the desert!

Airports had become a norm by now but we still cried. Although we were engaged, we never planned the wedding during this vacay. We just had fun (not that wedding planning is not fun lol).

Kim landed New York with her whole family months after. She had a ticket back to Qatar that she rebooked and eventually cancelled when we both decided to end the LDR. AAHHHHHH! One huge leap of Faith!

But first, Christmas in DC with family and family friends. Already at our 3rd country outside PH! Wow!

Months after, we decided to have a court wedding in New York. We feel extremely blessed because our church friends threw a wedding shower for us even if it was their first time to see Kim in person.

One spring morning and the yes became, "I do." Almost half a decade of long distance and here we were, vowing to always love in sickness and health, till death do we part.

Took a real New Yorker (Josheff) and a planner (Kim) to plan a wedding dinner for just a month. Celebrated with few of our family & friends, not just us being married but Josheff passing his PE Exam.

This night was a testament of how God can provide for you. We think 70% of the expense of this dinner was either free or returned to us. Look at how happy Kim is being married & with all the freebie!

After the wedding, we didn't have a set honeymoon date or place. We just kept travelling whenever we had the chance to and with whatever budget God tells us is wise to spend at the moment!

A year passed and we moved to our first home! The miracle? Our town came from a word that means a "pleasant village." Remember Psalm 16:6? Boundary lines in pleasant place! God is a promise-keeper!

First night of sleeping in the apt. Looking back now, we have seen God shower us with favors - from finding this place, to DP, to acquiring the things to put into it (70% were also given to us hihi).

Our second concert together! Josheff is influencing Kim to be a kpop fan and Kim is influencing Josheff to be a Swiftie. One thing is for sure, we both appreciate good talents and pretty faces!!

Our 4th country to visit, Taiwan. This photo was taken by a local who knows his way in this train track. One of our faves cause we feel like we were in a Kdrama. This is how we began 2024.

The story of our relationship has always been God exceeding our imaginations. Like in this photo, who would have thought we will be at Taipei 101, enjoying sunset together? God is really good!
