There's lots do in and around Portland. It's is known for its parks, bridges, bicycle paths, microbreweries, coffeehouses, food, art & music. Washington Park is iconic with a zoo, rose garden, Japanese garden and 12 miles of trails. The Portland Saturday Market has a variety of different art, craft and food vendors. It's located at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park from 10 am-5pm. Bike tours are a popular and fun way to check out the city. Food: Voodoo Doughnuts is infamous for their funky doughnuts. McMenamins Kennedy School is a restored 1915 elementary school 5 miles from downtown Portland. McMenamins is known for restoring historical locations and turning them into hotels/pubs/restaurants. Pine State Biscuits has unreal breakfast/brunch. Shalom Y'all has tasty Mediterranean food.

Cannon Beach and Seaside are the closest beaches to Portland (about a 1 hour and 30 minute drive). Cannon Beach is known for it's iconic Haystack Rock (featured in The Goonies!). Seaside is a classic beach town with a long, sandy beach and a paved promenade. The entire Oregon coast is gorgeous, so depending on how far you want to go, there's lots to explore.

The Columbia River Gorge is a spectacular river canyon separating Washington and Oregon. It's 80 miles long and up to 4,000 feet deep with cliffs, spires, ridges and views of peaks of the PNW’s Cascade Mountain Range. Some of the best places to view the Columbia River Gorge are: Vista House at Crown Point (a historical building with 360-degree views and an indoor observation deck) Historic Columbia River Highway (on the Oregon side of the river; known for it's views and access to waterfalls; Waterfall Corridor is an 8.5 to 12 miles section of this highway) Highway 14 (some of the most scenic driving on the Gorge, with spectacular views as it runs along the Washington side of the river) Rowena Crest (an iconic view of the horseshoe bend on the Historic Columbia River Highway) Thunder Island Brewing Co (a great spot in Cascade Locks for a beer and river views) Hood River (see below for more info)

Just off the Columbia River Gorge Highway (84), Oregon's tallest waterfall (Multnomah Falls) is a great attraction. It's about a 30 minute drive from Portland and about an hour drive from our venue. There are also an endless amount of other waterfalls along this highway, including Wahkeena Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Latourell Falls, Wahclella Falls, Horsetail Falls, Punchbowl Falls. Check out Waterfall Trolley for tours/shuttles on the Waterfall Corridor.

Hood River has an adorable town and offers some of the best spots for windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, standup paddleboarding, and mountain biking. The Waterfront Park and The Hook are great places to check out the Columbia River Gorge. Hood River is about an hour drive from Portland and about an hour drive from our venue.

This gorgeous lake has an incredible view of Mt. Hood. There is an easy hiking trail that goes around the lake. Kayak and SUP rentals are also available. The lake is about 25 minutes from the venue. A $10 day-use fee or a Northwest Forest Pass is required to park.
