Are kids welcome?
Answer
Although we adore the many children in our lives, we have decided to make our big day adults-only due to the nature of the event. We have three special young people who will be in attendance and that is all at this time. We hope you'll take the opportunity to enjoy a parents' night out!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
With our wedding taking place in early November in NC, the weather can be cold or even decently warm! The wedding ceremony will be outside on the lawn at The Matthews House. Followed by cocktail hour in the main house/outside on the patio. The reception will take place inside the ballroom on the property.

What about transportion?
Answer
The Matthews House offers a full parking lot on site. You are able to leave your car overnight if needed as well (pick up before 10:00 AM the following day). Our area is highly accessible by Uber, Lyft, taxis, etc. Please drink responsibly if you choose to partake in libations and plan to drive!

What are we eating?
Answer
Cocktail hour: mini crab cakes, roasted potato bites, & chicken & waffles Main course during reception: beef brisket, smoked gouda mac & cheese, green beans, seasonal salad, and yeast rolls. Late-night fast-food delivery around 9:00 PM
