Hike near Frankfort
There are lot of hikes around Frankfort. Join us on Friday morning for an organized hike, or check out these options on your own: Arcadia Dunes, Empire Bluffs hike, Old Indian Trail.
Sleeping Bear Dunes
Entrance into the park is $25/vehicle. If you're going, we recommend you download google maps directions to work offline, as you'll likely lose service on your drive there.
Eat + Drink in Frankfort
Restaurant options in Frankfort: Stormcloud Brewery, Port City Smokehouse (fresh or smoked seafood + meat), Vita Bella (Italian), The Scoop (ice cream), L'Chayim Deli, Rocks Landing (nice restaurant on Crystal Lake). Furnace Street Distillery and St. Ambrose Cellars for drinks + food. And if you have time, our favorite restaurant is Farm Club near Traverse City.
Get on the water
Enjoy the beach in downtown Frankfort (Frankfort Public Beach and Playground), rent a kayak at Crystal Lake Adventure Sports, or rent a boat to take out on Lake Michigan.
Explore nearby towns
If you feel like exploring northern Michigan, these towns are a short-drive away: Leland/Fishtown, Traverse City, Suttons Bay and Glen Arbor.
Visit the Vineyards in Traverse City
