Casual picnic attire
If you're coming in on Friday, June 21 we invite you to join us for a post-rehearsal welcome picnic on the Alumnae House lawn, from 7pm to dusk. It's midsummer's eve, the longest day of the year (there may even be a reading of Midsummer's Night Dream for the kiddos, both big and small)! What a wonderful time to be outside! Please bring your own blankets or lawn chairs to sit on it you can (we have some extras for those traveling by air). Feel free to bring a favorite lawn game to share, nets for lightening bugs, bubble wands, fairy wings, etc. Caveat: The Alumnae House lawn is a beautiful park-like setting, but it is alongside a busy road with no fence or barrier, so please be prepared to keep tabs on your children!
5:00 pm
Semi-formal
The ceremony is in the gardens so a few things to note: 1. It's on grass so pointy heels may get stuck. 2. Don't forget your sunscreen! 3. There are two ways to get to the garden-- the main way is down a staircase but for those who have difficulty with a lot of stairs there is a driveway you can use to get to the garden without stairs. That address is: Olmsted Hall, Vassar Lake Dr, Arlington, NY 12603.
6:30 pm
A group will walk from the ceremony to the reception for those who would like to walk through Vassar's campus. It is a lovely 10 minute walk and we highly suggest taking the stroll through Vassar's beautiful campus.
