Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We're hoping to get married outside but this is weather permitting. Fingers crossed!

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP using the link in the 'Home' or 'RSVP' page by the 1st of May.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate for plus ones unless already specified on your save the date. We hope you understand.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

As much as we would love to have them there, we will only be having immediate family's children - our nephews. Your child's name will be shown on the invite if they are attending the day. Go ahead and let your hair down!

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

Stone Barn has a car park just outside the venue with plenty of parking spaces. Cars must be collected by 10am the next morning.

Question

What about gifts?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is enough so please do not feel as though you need to provide a gift. However, if you would like to, a donation to our honeymoon would be greatly appreciated. And please avoid gifting alcohol otherwise this will still be around on our 50th wedding anniversary!

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask all guests to arrive and be seated by 1:30pm for the wedding ceremony. This will give everyone enough time to find their seats and settle in before the ceremony begins promptly. Thank you for helping us make sure the day goes smoothly!

Question

What time should evening guests arrive?

Answer

Evening guests are warmly invited to join us from 8pm onwards. The celebrations will be in full swing by then, so feel free to arrive anytime after 8pm to enjoy the festivities! We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony (no mobile phones or cameras) so please do not take photos during this time. We have an amazing professional photographer, videographer and content creator to capture these memories which we will of course share with you. Please feel free to take as many photos as you like before and after the ceremony.

Question

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not upload any photos on social media of the bride or groom until they have had the opportunity to do so.

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

No. Please do not attempt to sneak in any alcohol e.g., in a hip flask as we risk losing a large wedding deposit. The venue offers a fully stocked bar at reasonable prices. We will also provide two reception drinks each, wine on the tables and a toast drink.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie or blazer.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The venue kindly asks that you avoid driving through the village of Aldsworth. Contact Molly (07885782146) for a handy direction pamphlet.

Question

Can I stay at the venue?

Answer

There are no rooms available at Stone Barn but there are a variety of hotels, B&Bs, inns etc. nearby. For more information on this and camping, read the 'travel' tab.

Question

Are there any colours or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Answer

Wear what you're comfortable in, but please do not wear white/cream. Call me old fashioned but this girl has a dream!

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

There will be canapés during the reception, followed by a three-course wedding breakfast served family style!

Question

For the parents of our gorgeous nephews

Answer

Parents & guardians should be aware that children should be kept within your sight at all times. Please exercise caution around indoor open fires, outside fire pits, flares, lanterns & traffic in the car park. These things are not monitored by Stone Barn staff & can be dangerous for unsupervised children. Please do not let them climb the trees or the traditional dry stone walls as the stones can be loose. Please keep your young children with you during meal service times as they can pose a hazard to waiting staff.

Question

Fire pits

Answer

Weather depending, there will be outside fire pits, flares and lanterns. For your own health and comfort please do not top up the fire pits.
