We first met at BoxCar Bar + Arcade, a lively spot in downtown Greensboro, NC. Meghan was out with her law school friends and her college best friend, Julia, while Josh was enjoying a night out with his fraternity brothers. At the start of the evening, we had no idea the other existed. But fate had different plans. As the night unfolded, Josh’s energetic and charming personality shone through—maybe a bit fueled by some liquid courage—as he made the first move with a simple “Hi.” A simple “Hi” led to an effortless conversation that felt like it was meant to be. By the end of the night, we’d exchanged phone numbers, and Julia had already sensed something special. Without us noticing, she captured a photo of us deep in conversation and jokingly captioned it, “New Boyfriend Alert" (proof below). Little did she know how right she’d be. A week later, we had our first date at GIA Restaurant in Greensboro, which turned into many more. Before long, we were officially a couple, building a life full of adventures and love. In July 2024, we found ourselves on a breathtaking vacation to the Cayman Islands. Josh had assured Meghan it wasn’t that kind of trip, but he had a big surprise up his sleeve. On a beautiful, sunlit beach, with a photographer to capture every moment, Josh asked Meghan to spend forever with him. His nervous pre-proposal antics—insisting on a pre-photo drink, stressing over parking, and sweating up a storm—suddenly made perfect sense. It was a flawless and joyful moment, filled with many happy tears. Our life together has been filled with incredible milestones: college graduations, law school success, moving into our first apartment, adopting our sweet dog Lincoln, and settling into our first home in August 2024. Now, we can’t wait for our next adventure and to celebrate our love story with all of you!
