Will the real slim shady please stand up? If his slim stature and blonde locks don’t have you doing a double take, listen to this man freestyle rap and you’ll be sure you’ve met Eminem in the flesh. Sam’s silver tongue is just the tip of the attributes iceberg, he is a legendary footballer, doting (pet) dad to Tam and Bonnie, skilled marketer and business owner and loving partner to Zoë. He is loyal to a fault but watch out, this man has a taste for vengeance like nothing you have seen. As such, we advise against taking away his toys and/or food over the course of the wedding festivities. Sammy (the wiz) Pullman is never late nor early, he arrives precisely when he means to. His personal integrity is matched only by the structural integrity of his chin, while the love he displays for those close to him is incomparable. Although the title of The Better Pullman is always up for debate, Sam is truly deserving of the title of Best Man.

Meet Emma Ingram. The queen of good conversation who makes you feel at home has known Laura for 15 years. In this time she has built a life with her wonderfully handsome husband Alex, has become an incredible mother to Axel and built her own path to happiness. She can be described as loyal, kind, honest, caring and playful. She has provided rock solid friendship to Laura through all of those years and was a lock in the first round of the Bridesmaid Draft of 2024.

With a heart as vast as his stature is small, Darren embodies genuine kindness, always prioritising the need of others above his own. Don’t let his size fool you, Darren is the king of wit, keeping crowds in stitches and reigning supreme as the master of the “shooshooshy”. As an esteemed member of the Cottesloe Roosters back 6 of the century, Darren’s talents extend far beyond the dance floor. Get ready to celebrate love with this pocket rocket of joy!
Zoë Mottershead

Nicknames: Zo, Z, Mott, Snottë (pronounced Snotty), Z-Train, Tenacious Z Meet Zoë, besty, sister-from-another-mister, and 2 x premiership-winning teammate to Laura, devoted Mum to fur-babies Bonnie (puppy) and Tam (cat), and former housemate to Josh. Zoë and Laura’s bond is as unique as it is unbreakable. They sport matching premiership hen tattoos, they share a mutual love for cocktails, and they both ended up in a relationship with a Cottesloe Roosters player. Anyone else sensing a chook theme here? Both loyal, competitive, and able to binge-watch anything from reality TV to epic sci-fi sagas, they are the epitome of best friend goals. When Laura and Zoë combine their energies on the dance floor, it’s truly a sight to behold. And if Anna is there too? Well, let’s just say someone should have the fire extinguisher handy because they’ll be burning it up. Zoë’s list of favourite things is as diverse as it is long: Sam, Tam, Bonnie, family and friends, coffee, British crime shows, footy, gardening, reading, holidays, new furniture, and, of course, Daz’s jokes. While her list of dislikes is too fun not to share: Donald Trump, slow drivers, burnt coffee, Basil Zempilas, Collingwood, the gym, and when Josh prescribes her a really hard session at said gym. Her friendship with Laura (and Josh) is a cornerstone of her life, and although they’ve shared countless adventures and unforgettable memories, you get the feeling they’re just getting started.
Stephanie Pullman

Meet Steph and her hammer. Steph is the younger, wiser, and more talented of the three Pullman siblings, known for her quick wit, compassion, and integrity - a few of many traits she shares with Laura and Josh. Steph’s addition to Josh’s aptly named ‘Groomsclan’ has, to be completely frank, significantly bolstered their ranks, akin to Captain Marvel joining (and saving) The Avengers. Now let’s talk about that trusty hammer. Similarities though they may have, where Steph differs from Josh (specifically) is in her remarkable handy-ness. Having studied Props & Scenery at WAAPA, Steph can design, construct, and fix just about anything. On the other hand, Josh would buy a new door from Bunnings if he were confronted with a loose doorknob. These days, Steph hones her craft designing and building elaborate Escape Rooms. Fun fact: it was Steph who helped prepare the customised Escape Room in which Josh proposed to Laura. Spoiler alert: Laura said yes! All in a day’s work for Steph.

Dave shares his life with Elysia and their groodle Harry. Friends with Laura since she was 18, the level of care he shows her and the whole wedding wolf pack make his place on this prestigious bridal party an obvious choice. Dave works in sales, a good fit for his approachability and quick wit; from dawn till dark there is never a dull moment with Dave around - always up to something, and always with a genuine/cheeky/dangerous-looking smile 😊. My advice for wedding attendees: if you get the chance to have a cocktail with Dave and/or a sneaky dance during the weekend, go for it - his knack for making others feel comfortable will have you smiling along with him in no time.

Forged in the fresh waters of Minnetonka, Jambo Slice is a strong man amongst men. With a management style that is general in nature, JimJam’s talents extend far beyond the bounds of a balance sheet. Ambidextrous with a football, this kind-hearted man is a father of two, and a figure of countless others. Chalk him up for a beer when you need, and finger guns on a moments notice. Putting the slice in any fairway shot you could poke a shaft at, it’s J-J-J-J Jambarino!
Dane Shardlow

Over 500 LinkedIn connections and featured on Netflix’s 72 Dangerous Animals, this guy will go straight to level 8 in conversations while you’re still warming up to level 3. Dane, father to Verdana, hubby to Shenay and bridesman to Laura. What you see is what you get with our good friend Dane. Humble, generous and genuine, there are plenty reasons why Dane is one of Laura’s greatest friends for over a decade now. From Mazenod to Dunsborough, Dane has notched up 206 amateur football games, averaging 0.529 goals a game. He was lucky enough to reach 50 games for Beverley FC (https://www.facebook.com/reel/129780377594141) and Vice Captain for Pickering Brook FC. However, these accolades do not compare to the many infamous nights Dane has spent at the Dean. Partial to biting and play fighting, Dane was known for letting loose and tearing up the dance floor. Something we can ALL look forward to come January.

Best understood as part-man part towering ghost gumtree, looming large at 9 foot tall, his quiet and anchoring presence is a reassurance. Wes’ pale frame shades us from the sun while remaining ever-ready to catch you with his enormous branch-like hands should you have a drunken stumble. This man’s values are rooted strong in providing for his family, the cultivation of good stock and the succession of strong blood lines (his inseminating apparatus never far from reach). Wes takes great pride in rearing the next generation, true of both dairy cattle, and many seeds of his own. The father of 6 casts an impressive silhouette, matched only by his work ethic, starting his working day at 3:30am to provide for his family and provide the WA population with exceptional milk. A true twist of nature, there are whisperings that his wife loves watching Wes wield an axe, which might explain why another child seems to arrive every spring after the Southern-west’s cold winter. If the breeze is blowing just right, you may even be lucky enough to witness this ghost gum’s spectacular dance moves, definitely a natural wonder to behold. Any time at all spent in this man’s presence is good for the soul, something you may all look forward to.
