FAQs

Question

Where are we staying:

Answer

We recommend booking a private home for your stay. Tahoe Luxury has great options in the area. Please consider booking in the Dollar Point area.

Question

What's the best airport to use?

Answer

Reno Tahoe International (RNO) which is about 1 hour from Tahoe. *PLEASE NOTE* Due to the holiday weekend please allow for extra time to drive from the airport to Tahoe. We have been advised it can take up to 4 hours with the added holiday traffic.

Question

How do I get from the airport in Reno to Tahoe City?

Answer

Rental Cars and Ubers are a great option but If you need transportation from the airport into Tahoe please fill out this form with your travel details: https://forms.gle/vvswuvGh6MoNCRf98 We are collecting travel information to help coordinate travel to and from the airport when possible.

Question

Is it OK to post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Yes! Please just remember to tag the grooms (@youcancallme_ken & @Joshua_w_mccoy)

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both take place outdoors. Guests will need to walk across grassy areas so for that reason thin high heels are not recommended.

Question

What are we wearing?

Answer

Think summer garden cocktail party—vibrant colors, florals, and bold style moments encouraged. Lightweight linen and airy suits for the gentlemen, fun hats and accessories for all. For the ladies, flowy dresses, chic sets, and statement pieces are perfect—bonus points for playful prints and a pop of color. We’ll be taking lots of photos, so make sure to turn a look. Have fun. Be bold.

Question

What's the parking situation?

Answer

Yoga: Street parking in the neighborhood is available. Beach Day: Parking at Skylandia will be very limited due to the holiday weekend, we strongly encourage you to carpool or walk over if possible. We will also likely have vans available to help shuttle people to and from the beach. Ceremony, Reception & After Party: There is NO PARKING at the Ceremony or reception venue. If you do drive we strongly encourage you to car pool to mitigate the amount of cars. Street parking is available on Village Road behind the ceremony venue. Shuttles: We will have two van's that will shuttle guests from the ceremony to the reception and then drop everyone back off at the after party. The vans can pick guests up before the ceremony, and at the end of the night if arranged a head of time. Please speak with Josh or Ken to arrange. For other transportation needs: There is a local rideshare service called TART incase you are ever trying to get a car somewhere!

Question

What should I bring for beach day?

Answer

Please bring anything you will need for the beach with you including: Towels Sunscreen, Water Shoes (The lake can be quite rocky), camping chairs and water toys.
