Ferry travel

Please note that there are three routes to get to Kitsap peninsula from the Seattle area. 1) the Edmonds - Kingston ferry 2) the Seattle - Bainbridge Island ferry or 3) driving down through Tacoma, across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and up north through the peninsula. Summer tourists and sports events can make the ferry crowded, so if you plan on ferrying please plan accordingly. We advise checking the WSDOT schedule ahead of time! WSDOT also has an app that can track ferry times and space on the boats.

Car Camping and Cabins

Kitsap Memorial State park is also a campground! There are still several options available for campsites and mini-cabins but places go fast so reserve your space early if you'd like to stay on site.

There are a few rental homes in the area but they book quickly as this is a popular vacation destination. We recommend booking a place sooner rather than later.
