The ol' World Wide Web!! Josh, never one to back down from a challenge, signed up for Match.com on a dare. After noticing Jenni's profile, he sent her a message. Although rather long-winded, Jenni found his message refreshingly humorous and intelligent-sounding. A few days later, they met for drinks & Korean food. Josh talked Jenni's ear off, which Jenni found utterly endearing. Thus began the romance!
With a canoe strapped to the top of the Subaru, Josh and Jenni made their way up to North Cascades National Park one drizzly Sunday morning. They packed up and launched the canoe at Diablo Lake and paddled their way (through some rather rough water!) to a dreamy, tucked away boat-in only campsite at Hidden Cove. That evening they hiked up to a lookout, set up a hammock and snuggled up to take in the view of the gorgeous turquoise lake. Jenni commented on how perfect everything was, and Josh responded that things would be even more perfect if she agreed to spend the rest of her life with him! She heartily agreed to his suggestion, slipped on the ring that he'd brought with, and they proceeded to take one million selfies in that hammock, most of which turned out to be terrible.
After two years together, we are so glad to get to choose each other as partners for life. It’s an honor to celebrate that together with some of the people we love most. The truth is that we would not be who we are - individually and together - without the encouragement, love and guidance that so many of you have offered. You have helped to bolster us with the strength and courage to take this leap into marriage. We are messy people (shocking, yes), and this is only just the beginning of the hard but good work of partnership. We know that we will continue to rely on you to help us be the best team we can be. This wedding will be a celebration of the new family that we are co-creating, as well as all of you who are integral extensions of our family. Thank you for being in our lives!
