When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The sooner the better, but we would prefer by March 1st, 2027.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The reception will be outdoors (weather permitted), so think summer formal—lightweight fabrics, breathable styles, and dressy attire that works in the heat!

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

We recommend getting a rental car to drive throughout your stay in Portugal! For our USA friends, they drive on the right side of the road :)

Do I need a travel visa?

Answer

USA and British passport holders do not need a visa to enter Portugal for tourism.

Is there transportation provided?

Answer

Shuttle service will be provided from central pick-up locations in both Albufeira and Vilamoura. Transportation will also be available between the church and reception venue, which are approximately 10 minutes apart. At the end of the evening, shuttles will return guests to the same central locations in Albufeira and Vilamoura. Additional details regarding pick-up locations and schedules will be shared closer to the wedding date.

Why did we choose Portugal as our wedding destination?

Answer

Great question! Emma has always dreamed of a destination wedding, inspired by her dad’s wish for one of his three daughters to marry abroad. Josh, meanwhile, has fond memories of growing up visiting Portugal to see family, making the Algarve a special place for him. Together, it felt like the perfect location to celebrate our wedding.
