Clara & Joshua
Clara & Joshua met at the end of their 2nd year of college at MSU. They connected instantly over their shared love of music, nature, food & travel. That summer they returned to their hometowns but kept in touch & grew their friendship. Once back on campus, they had their first official date and eventually settled into what neither of them could have predicted would be a life-long relationship. On NYE in 2012, Clara visited Josh in Buffalo for the 1st time. She fell in love with the city (& the man) after a romantic trip to Niagara Falls. After college Clara began her graduate studies at Syracuse – just 2 hours away from Buffalo where Josh was pursuing his career in HR. When Clara landed a position at the University at Buffalo the pair moved into their cozy apartment in the Elmwood Village with their precocious cat Caspian. A few years later Josh proposed while on vacation in Aruba. They will marry just a few weeks after their 10th anniversary & cannot wait to see what the future holds.
2011 - Our first Halloween together we dressed as Shaggy and Velma. We even ran into a Scooby at the party!
2012 - Clara's graduation from MSU.
2013 - Camping in the Adirondacks.
2014 - Spring break in Vero Beach, Florida.
2015 - The Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park.
2015 - The Swiss Alps. We enjoyed paragliding off these mountains!
2016 - Our 5 year anniversary trip in Portland, Maine.
2016 - Jordan Pond, Acadia National Park, Maine.
2017 - Seeing some of our favorite musicians -Tedeschi Trucks Band - while on vacation in North Carolina.
2017 - Visiting Clara's brother and Josh's best man, John, in Barcelona, Spain.
2018 - Dead & Co concert at Darien Lake.
2018 - Hiking the Niagara Falls Gorge Trail with Clara's best friend/Matron of Honor, Chelsea, and her husband, Kiel.
2019 - Our engagement on the beautiful beaches of Aruba!
2019 - Post-engagement dinner with the great friends who helped Josh pull off the surprise. Meg, Tony, Pat, and Steph will all be part of our wedding party.
2020 - Jamaica in early March. Last vacation for awhile!
