The closest airport to Buccheri and Palazzolo is Catania (CTA). Typically, flights from the US to Catania will have a layover in Europe however, Delta has started direct flights from JFK to Catania.

Renting a Car
We highly recommend renting a car for your trip to Sicily. It is the easiest and most reliable way to get around. There are many different companies you can rent from, but all car rentals would be picked up from the Catania Airport. Note: for you stickshift drivers, manual cars are cheaper than automatic cars.

This is a beautiful Agriturismo that is very close to the main venue, Borgo degli Ulivi. It is a 10min drive, 7.7km away. We have made arrangements with Borgo del Carato so that if you email them directly at booking@borgodelcarato.com and let them know you are with our wedding, they will offer a discounted quote. For those of you that have already booked with a third party, it would be worth comparing and contrasting the price difference to see if you can save booking with them. This is the venue for our wedding celebration and reception from August 8, 2025 - August 11, 2025. Currently, this venue is only open to immediate family (parents) and the wedding party (bridesmaids, groomsmen, best man and maid of honor). Depending on space, it may be opened to additional guests later on.
