Shops at Main Street
Tarrytown's Main Street is home to eclectic shops and restaurants, including antique shops, boutiques, coffee shops, and the famous Main Street Sweets. After taking a strolling, stop in for lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area- our favorites are Sweet Grass (for healthy-ish brunch and lunch) and The Cube Inn (for not-healthy Cuban snacks).
Washington Irving's Sunnyside
Washington Irving, the authorial force behind the Headless Horseman, lived in this estate. Come for the literary ties, stay for the architecture and art.
Storm King Art Center
This outdoor sculpture garden makes for a great day trip when the weather is clear.
New York City
New York City is an easy 45-minute train ride from Tarrytown. The Metro North Railroad Hudson Line drops you off in the heart of midtown Manhattan, at Grand Central Station. NYC is full of museums, restaurants, shows, and nightlife. We're lucky to call NYC home, so if you're planning a trip to the city, feel free to ask us for recommendations.
