FAQs

The Wedding Website of Tania Pabón Acosta and Joshua Porretto
We've listed a few common questions here, but if you encounter any others do reach out to us directly.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be black tie optional. We don't often have the opportunity to dress up and feel like royalty, so we're making our celebration the perfect time to put on our best and have an elegant party. Please note that the ceremony will take place outside in the early New York fall (weather permitting)- if you tend to run cold you, may need a shawl or covering for bare shoulders.

Question

Will I need to rent a car?

Answer

Renting a car is not necessary unless you plan to extend your stay and explore areas outside of Tarrytown or the Hudson Valley. Otherwise, Ubers and/or taxis are available at the airport, as well as to go from the hotel to the center of town.

Question

How do I get from the hotel to the venue?

Answer

Shuttle service will be provided on the day of the wedding to and from the venue. Shuttle service to the ceremony will begin at around 3pm and service from the reception to the hotel will begin at around 8:45pm. If you're staying at the hotel, specific shuttle times will be provided with the itinerary in your welcome bag.

Question

Are kids welcome at the wedding?

Answer

While we love being honorary aunt and uncle to some awesome kids, our wedding will be adults-only.

Question

How do I get to New York City?

Answer

Tarrytown is serviced by the Metro North Hudson Line train, which goes from the Hudson Valley to Grand Central Station in NYC. The ride from Tarrytown to Grand Central can take from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the train itinerary. For information on train schedules, please visit the MTA website: https://www.mta.info/schedules
