Joe and I met at church in 2018. I noticed this guy always would be looking at me at church but I never paid him any attention. My best friend one day told me how he always was asking about me, but I brushed it off. So Mother's Day service at church, he walks up to me joking while I'm in line and asked does the line start where I was standing. I did not respond , and he walked off. That was the first time I really "noticed" him like that, and I felt like I was making a mistake by giving him the cold shoulder. Later that day, I found him on Facebook and sent a friend request and he sent me a message immediately. We began getting to know each other, but it was awhile before I gave him a chance. We talked for a couple of months and really got to know each other. We were total opposites but seemed to want the same things in life. In July of 2018 we had separate times where we got to spend with each others kids. After that, it was history.
Truth be told, I told Tiara early in the relationship that she was going to be my wife. I was always confident even when she would just laugh me off. The day before proposing I asked her parents for their blessing to marry her, they both approved and I was ready! The next day, I didn't have a plan. I just knew I wanted to ask her at the National Harbor. We walked the pier and I felt like it was crowded and not personal enough, so I took her to the Ferris wheel (I hate heights). By this time I am sweating and nervous and we get to the very top over the water, and to her surprise, I popped the question and she said YES. Always a perfectionist, Tiara made me do it two more times so she could record it as we were still sitting at the top of the ferris wheel.
