I first met Theresa in 8th grade when we were put in the same home room and science class, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Even when I moved across the country to go to college she remained a constant figure in my life. From homecoming dances, prom, and high school graduation, she’s been by my side and it’s now my honor to stand by her as she marries the love of her life.

During a high school lacrosse tournament, I was introduced to another future Carroll Women’s lacrosse team member. A stunning 5'10" brunette approached us–a smile shining brighter than the sun. Theresa. Imagine my thrill as I found out we played the same position, defense. To which she replied, “But you’re so short?” This comment sent me into a spiral. I soon learned that we were more compatible as friends than I had thought. Our practices set us up to be future college roommates and best friends. Theresa has taught me many things: how to survive a room set to 62 degrees, how to survive a breakup that I thought would kill me, and how to stand up for what you believe and know is right. I am so incredibly excited to stand next to my best friend after 8 years (even if I am short).

Joey and I first met Garrett when he traveled up to Wisconsin from Arkansas with my best friend Emily. This was the first and only time we were able to see him before their wedding day! Over the years, we have been able to bond with Garrett on their holiday trips to Wisconsin and ours out to Colorado. Through my lifelong friendship with Emily, we were able to find a great friend in Garrett. We are thrilled to have him stand with us on our wedding day!

I met Theresa when I started working at Chimp Haven. We quickly bonded over our love of coffee and chimps. Our target trips and car ride gossip sessions make living in Shreveport fun. I’m so excited to stand by her side on this special day.
