Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Patricia Cuevas Ruiz and Joseph Garcia
Whether you’re visiting Madison for the first time or returning to a favorite spot, we’ve gathered some of our favorite places to eat, drink, explore, and relax. From lakeside strolls to late night piano bars, there's something for everyone, all within walking distance or a short drive from the Capitol. We hope you make a little adventure out of the weekend!
Chazen Museum of Art

Chazen Museum of Art

750 University Avenue, Madison, WI 53706

For all the art lovers, this beautiful (and free!) museum features both classic and contemporary exhibits.

Comedy on State

Comedy on State

State Street, Madison, WI

A true favorite of ours. We highly recommend catching a show if you have time because it never disappoints.

Devils Lake

Devils Lake

WI 53913

Although it’s about a 40-mile drive from downtown Madison, Devil’s Lake is absolutely worth the trip if you’re up for an adventure. With dramatic bluffs, wooded trails, and crystal-clear water, it’s one of Wisconsin’s most stunning natural spots. You can hike, picnic, or simply take in the views. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and a perfect little escape.

Eno Vino Downtown

Eno Vino Downtown

1 North Webster Street, Madison, WI 53703

A beautiful place for drinks and a view. Great for relaxing and just a short walk from the Park Hotel!

Lake Monona

Lake Monona

Madison, WI

If you’re up for a scenic stroll, head to Lake Monona and follow the path that wraps along the shoreline.

State Street

State Street

State Street, Madison, WI

A pedestrian-only street connecting the Capitol to UW-Madison, lined with local shops, cafes, and street performers. It’s perfect for grabbing a coffee, browsing unique boutiques, or just enjoying the energy of downtown Madison.

The Ivory Room Piano Bar

The Ivory Room Piano Bar

116 West Mifflin Street, Madison, WI 53703

A cozy, classy piano bar with live music, sing-alongs, and song requests. Paty highly recommends it!

Wisconsin State Capitol

Wisconsin State Capitol

2 East Main Street, Madison, WI 53702

Okay, we might be a little biased (we did get married here!), but the Capitol is seriously beautiful. Inside, outside, every side. Don’t miss the free tours!

For all the days along the way
