On March 9th, 2024, we got engaged surrounded by our closest friends and family, and the joyful sounds of a mariachi band made the moment even more unforgettable. Just a few weeks later, on March 23rd, 2024, we were married in an intimate ceremony at the beautiful Wisconsin State Capitol. It was the perfect beginning to our forever. Now, we are ready to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. Please join us on March 21st, 2026 for a joyful celebration of our love, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. Solo unas semanas después, el 23 de marzo de 2024, nos casamos en una ceremonia íntima en el hermoso Capitolio del Estado de Wisconsin. We both love fresh starts. So when spring 2020 arrived and it was time to begin graduate school, we were excited and curious about what was coming next. When the class list finally came out, Paty went name by name, looking up each of her eleven future classmates on social media. When she got to the last one, Joseph Garcia, something about this cute guy caught her attention. She added him, along with the rest of the group on Facebook and created a page so everyone could introduce themselves. Joey, meanwhile, opened the notification on his phone and saw that a pretty girl named Paty had added him. Once classes started, we started messaging each other to share homework and help each other out. Sometimes there were longer conversations over text, but most of the time it was just sending assignments back and forth or venting about the chaos of our program. But there was definitely something between us. One weekend, Paty and her friend Sydney decided to visit Joey at UW Whitewater. That night, Paty and Joey shared their first kiss. And the rest, as they say, is history. Not long after that, Joey took Paty on the most amazing first date to Chicago. We spent hours talking, laughing, and realizing how much we connected. Since then, we have lived so many beautiful experiences together: traveling, trying new foods, watching shows and movies, listening to the newest song Joey found on the internet, having long deep conversations about life, and supporting each other through work and everything else. Paty is sweet, funny, thoughtful, and kind. And Joey is loving, caring, talented, and wonderful. We are so lucky to have found each other and even luckier to be celebrating this next chapter with all of you. De Compañeros de Clase a Para Siempre… A los dos nos encantan los nuevos comienzos. Así que cuando llegó la primavera del 2020 y era momento de empezar la maestría, los dos estábamos bien emocionados y con mucha curiosidad por lo que venía. Cuando por fin salió la lista del grupo, Paty fue nombre por nombre buscando en redes sociales a cada uno de sus once futuros compañeros. Cuando llegó al último, Joseph Garcia, algo de este chico llamó su atención. Lo agregó, junto con todo el grupo, en Facebook y creó una página para que todos pudieran presentarse. Joey, mientras tanto, abrió la notificación en su celular y vio que una chica bonita llamada Paty lo había agregado. Cuando empezaron las clases, empezamos a escribirnos para compartir tareas y ayudarnos. De repente había una que otra conversación por mensaje, pero casi siempre era para compartir trabajos o desahogarnos del caos del programa. Pero definitivamente había algo entre nosotros. Un fin de semana, Paty y su amiga Sydney decidieron ir a visitar a Joey a UW Whitewater. Esa noche, Paty y Joey tuvieron su primer beso. No mucho después, Joey llevó a Paty a la primera cita más increíble en Chicago. Pasamos horas platicando, riendo y dándonos cuenta de lo bien que conectábamos. Desde entonces hemos vivido muchas experiencias juntos: viajando, probando comida nueva, viendo series y películas, escuchando la nueva canción que Joey acaba de encontrar en internet, teniendo conversaciones larguísimas y profundas sobre el mundo y apoyándonos mutuamente con el trabajo. Paty es dulce, chistosa, detallista y de corazón noble. Y Joey es amoroso, dedicado, talentoso y maravilloso.
