Joseph and Clarissa first met at The Vaquero Awakening Retreat on September 13th, 2019. It was more of a “I remember seeing you there” acquaintanceship until October 16th, 2019, when the Newman Center hosted a bowling night.

Joseph took Clarissa to the beach as a graduation gift. They went to pray a rosary on the beach, grab some Dirty Als Seafood, and Ice Cream before returning back home. They really opened up to each other while walking on the docks and Clarissa had finally considered Joseph a close friend after that day.

Joseph took Clarissa out on their official first date. They went to Mass, then he took her to eat and shop at a market at the food trucks in Mission, TX. They ended the night with coffee from Jitterz and watched an anime they had started watching together.

Joseph asked Clarissa to be his girlfriend right before Mass with a bouquet of roses and sunflowers, which are her favorite.

Joseph proposed to Clarissa at the spot they had their first (friend) date. They prayed a rosary together on the beach as friends on June 5, 2020. They got engaged at the very same spot, two years later.
